He's such a braggart he can't keep his fricking mouth shut for his own good. He's got to inflate his ego by showing off what he has that others don't...

Let there be no doubt this is entirely a political prosecution but good God he carelessly walks right into the traps they set for him.

I have no doubt plenty of former Presidents have broken laws in similar manners
The difference is a) Trump does it in front of people who want to hurt him because he's either a terrible judge of people or he doesn't care and b) our media and justice system is happy to look the other way with most other politicians.

It's who he is. He's a braggart. I've got it, you don't! Me! His brashness is a key to his political popularity but its also a fatal flaw for him. He can't anticipate anyone outmaneuvering him.
I remember a video I think in the early part of hid campaign when the media still found him entertaining before he was literally Hitler. He was giving a tour of his office in Trump tower and he's got all this shite strewn about everywhere. Shaqs shoes, Tysons gloves, on and on. And he's giving this tour showing off all this memorabilia. That's what I imagine him doing here. Bragging about the documents he has, how important they are. What a great plan he came up with.

I do agree. This gives me some pause, its certainly not great.
Anyone questioning Trump being smart is off base. I like to poke fun but he is a smart man.
He just seems to have extremely little impulse control. Huge ego and he can't stop himself from talking.

If I recall, this stems directly from Milley saying Trump wanted to blow up Iran or something, and Trump got pissed off because he says it was Milley that was calling for it.
