Trumpers that support increasing immigration for high paying jobs, why?

Please explain.
It looks like a path to the destruction of the American middle class, a step to socialism to me.
What are you thinking?

This sort of trumper exists in reality or only in your head ?

People that have high paying jobs are generally contributors to society. And no company is going to give that job to a foreigner if it can be filled by an American. Green card costs can come out to $10,000+/yr for the company, not counting lost productivity time when the employee has to leave the country for renewal.

They are coming regardless so better to have the merit based ones that can contribute and assimilate

Maybe the average American should rethink his/her work ethics. Shorter hours with higher pay pales in comparison for businesses looking for employees that don't mind working normal to longer hours at a decent rate of pay.

Exactly, opened the thread to say something like this, plus what SDV said

You want me to explain why I would want to import limited numbers of high skill workers in areas where we have shortages instead of unlimited waves and waves of unskilled, poverty stricken folks who:
1. Aren't even literate in their first language, much less English,
2. Work day labor jobs, either off the books or with stolen SS numbers,
3. Don't assimilate even 2 and 3 generations later, resulting in large swaths of the country now looking like the Central/South American shitholes they fled.
I'm not sure how to even respond to that.

Wrong. Companies love these visa holders. They can pay them less and treat them like indentured servants.

Why is it difficult to distinguish legal and illegal for most of the liberals?
If someone legally comes into this country with a needed skill set it boosts our middle class because 1) we are adding skilled workers and their family to our population 2) they actually pay taxes for the services provided.
Weak arsed “gotcha”. I hope you didn’t spend a lot of time mulling over this before posting.

I think we prefer to have high skilled immigrants over lazy ones that don’t work . We don’t need any immigrants right now .

Try to understand the issue better, then come back.

You’re wrong. It’s hurting the pay in many industries.

Well, you've just shifted your thread from higher to lower. If the next Albert Einstein wants to immigrate here from Germany and teach physics at Princeton I have no problem with it. I don't think he'll feel like an indentured servant.

immigration by the highly skilled is how we established ourselves as a super power
high skilled engineers, doctors & scientists add tremendous value to the country
do they make less than their American counterparts in the early stages? in some cases, sure; but that does not last for long
this may come as a shock to you, but "highly skilled" individuals tend to be in demand & that tends to drive their pay up; this is true whether they are immigrants or natural born citizens
the free market ALWAYS works like this
you're going to have to try harder on your next "gotcha"

Wrong. Everyone’s paid the same. And it’s less because of hyper immigration.
