frick no. They'll just undermine the wall process anyway. They don't have any principle. We've already given amnesties in the past and they blew up in our face. 11 million illegals just granted citizenship? That is fricking absurd. Absolutely absurd and it's shameful and embarrassing that ANY American leaders would require that for ANY compromise on anything.

I'ts kind of been Trump's model this entire time....even years ago. He's been sued so many times by people that worked for him not getting paid, he had to settle out of court with Trump University students when they realize they weren't actually receiving any sort of Education, and now Republican voters are eventually going to wake up and find that they were lied to. We told you all along and you wouldn't listen and I know this is what you get

Like a true liberal liar. He offered and they denied it and he just did it again and Pelosi said nope

I don't want a wall from CA to Texas. No one does.

So no. I don't want 13 million or so new dem voters. No sane person would want that.

So I’ve kept it to myself to see how long it would take the general populace to come to that conclusion. My compromise:

1. Build wall. Secure border. This fixes the issue for illegal crossings moving forward.
2. Legalize DACA fully. It really isn’t their fault they are here. Sure they could go back, but for what reason except to say that “I deported them”.
3. Permanent residency for the remainder. Not citizenship. They aren’t here to be citizens. They’re here to reap the benefits of the American economic machine. This gives them that. And it does not give them voting rights. They decided to forego that right the moment they came here illegally.
4. Back breaking fines on folks convicted of employing illegals there after. I’m talking going out of business size fines.
5. Find a way to modernize the current legal system. It’s fricking archaic.

Probably get downvoted to hell. Guess I just found my second most liberal viewpoint.

Is this your theory?

The great compromise.
Might work.

I approve.

My version is to make it a felony to hire one.

Offer no deportation of the illegals currently in the country (i.e. grandfather them in) and an expedited path to citizenship, but still don't legally allow them to vote in national elections; leave it up to the states whether they're allowed to vote in state and local elections.

All in exchange for funding the wall.

I doubt you would be happy with the application of the statute.
Judge wink. Slap wrist.

Fines don't get the job done.
Jail time for owner, manager, for cfo and president.
90 day first offense.
5 years 2nd offense.

they won't offer that deal, they won't offer any deal tbh. Why would they?

The next time you extol the virtues of compromise in relation to your expectations of a Republican politician, you will probably wonder why your post drowns in a torrent of downvotes.

That's an eloquent way of saying, I hope you drop dead.

No, not at this point. After the wall is built perhaps.

There will be no "wall" as Trump and his minions seem to want. The November 6 election took care of that. Democrats defeated Republicans by 8.5% of the total vote in the 435 House elections. No "wall."

Ryan and the republican house did not see fit to allocate the funds.

Don't try to blame democrats.

Republicans had potus, both houses and never funded wall.

Trump made good on trade war, oops. 90 days. Temp o freeze.
