quote:

President Donald Trump said Thursday in Michigan that he would not close the country if it was hit by a second wave of the coronavirus.

“We are going to put out the fires. We’re not going to close the country,” Trump said. “We can put out the fires. Whether it is an ember or a flame, we are going to put it out. But we are not closing our country.”

The president spoke during a tour of a Ford factory that was manufacturing ventilators, as he continues pushing for the country to reopen after the coronavirus-fueled shutdowns.

“We did the right thing, but now it is time to open it up,” he said. “A never-ending lockdown would invite a public health calamity. To protect the health of our people, we must have a functioning economy.”

Agree, but if they do it a second time, don't be asking for a handout.

doesnt matter, if its a state thing then there is no vote by mail BS for a federal election

trump just sank their hopes of a second shut down for the sole purpose to rig the election, this was just a trial run and the sad thing is, had they waited they could have got their shut down during the election and been able to rig/steal it

1: will not matter since the election will be here and gone.

2: If Dems win, COVID19 no longer exists in the world. If Dems lose, they will just do their usual shite and start pimping the next dem of choice for president.

hes clear.

all that matters is economic trajectory on election day .

yesterday he pretended that Columbia saying that the spread before sip was directly related to 36,000 deaths is because columbia is liberal. not because math says they are wrong.
he cant say math because math is 100% correct.
its on him. (maybe it goes away as if by miracle)

Should have never been closed period. Trump was pressured into by the Democrats and the media. Fauci was conducting an experiment to see the affects of a shutdown. The at risk folks should have quarantined, not the whole population.

you do realize that in the big picture, that alleged 36k means very little, right?

unless a miracle vaccine is produced very quickly, the same approximate number of people would die. it would just take longer if we shut down earlier

frick you, you are a liar. The economics will kill more people than the virus.

The Columbia study wanted us to social distance before the WHO said it was a pandemic. Why doesn’t that study follow the science of the WHO?

Models are only as good as the assumptions that go into them. None of the models surrounding this virus have been worth a damn. Why would Columbia’s Monday morning quarterback model be any different?

The at risk folks were purposely killed by democratic governors in nursing homes to pad the COVID-19 death numbers.

Mandating COVID-19 infected can be housed with other old people in nursing homes is an insidious strategy while you force healthy people to stay at home.

This pandemic will be managed at the state and county level, period.

Every state and county aren't experiencing the same outcomes at the same time.
