Meh, Ron isn't even 50 years old yet....he has a long future ahead of him.......Trump is a one term President and there is plenty of time for Ron in politics....no one will remember or care that he did or didn't give Lara the Senate seat.

Plenty of candidates lost elections and went on to win it all.....Reagan, Nixon, HW Bush all got beat and went on to win the office....Hell, Biden lost at least two Presidential runs and was passed over for a third by Obama for Hillary and he still managed to win.

Ron is one who we will be looking to post-Trump

Brother, I don't search multiple times a day. I searched 1 time looking for the Washington Post article about DeSantis appointing Lara. All these other unhinged posts show up

And then have started multiple threads here on that very topic stating that the ONLY way DeSantis can save his political butt is to appoint Lara. If he doesn't do that, he should just go to the coast somewhere on the Gulf and start walking...

All based on that one single search. Got it.

Edit* - all in good fun here... you DO bring some good info here... at the same time, you also have some retarded takes.

MAGA will be done with Ron if he does that.

Yes, about 5% of the current Republican party will be looking at Ron. The rest will be looking at JD Vance

So I will ask the question again that you have refused to answer.

What will Trump do for Ron? What’s in it for Ron?

On this we agree. If Trump/Vance do a good job, seems like Vance would get the nod, much like Sr. Bush got it after Reagan.

BUT.... Biden didn't get it after Odummy. It was "Hillary's turn."

It won't be "DeSantis's turn", as we Republicans typically don't pay attention to whose "turn" it is. Just whomever will be best for the job.

I honestly think you guys get more emotional about the DeSantis issue because you had some big war here during the primary that I was not a part of. I don't have any battle wounds so I just view it without any baggage. I have no problem with DeSantis, I just see some of his supporters on X as unhinged.

I think a Supreme Court nomination would be great. Going from Governor to Supreme Court Justice with a lifetime appointment would be a great move.

I wouldn't have a problem with that if Pete doesn't make it through.

Honestly I have no idea Hegseth will get done as Sec Def….

DeSantis has delivered as governor….

If Pete doesn’t hit a homerun it will have been a mistake….

On Twitter it is, 'what is in it for Ron' and now 14 just asked.

It sounds like DeSantis doesn't want anything to do with Trump's orbit. He wouldn't even join them in the suite. Lara can live w/o the special appointment and run, or not. MAGA has very little friends in DC.

Nothing wrong with Lara there. but she doesn't want it so bad to compromise the MAGA agenda. DeSantis can appoint his wife just so the whiners stfu.

A lot are still pissed off Ron lost the primary. I judge by actions and I haven't really seen DeSantis want to MAGA. That's fine, the article says he wants a TV show possibly.

Don't placate them. Ron would not make a good SCOTUS Justice. It is Lee's or Mike's, or many others before DeSantis for the taking. He also wouldn't make a good SecDef, as he does not share Trump's Ukraine vision.

There may be a good cabinet position but we shouldn't waste another 5 pages trying to placate a man that wouldn't even sit with them in the suite. It is as silly as thinking Ron would have one up on JD Vance.

Let Ron do Ron, Karl Rove will fire him up again in 2028. No one is stopping him and frankly no one cares.

I believe he was here earlier. I just saw this post and I am reminded how Vivek Ramaswamy was the best candidate on that debate stage

In the post-2016 GOP that's true. But, we had our run of trotting out stale has-beens because it was "their turn" - Bob Dole, Mittens, even McCain.
