That's a fair argument to make.
Earlier I saw a clip of Vance talking about tools that are new and as of yet unknown to the Iranians. Dunno what they are, but we may find out soon. Surely it will be less than utter annihilation of the population.

Maybe he's speaking of annihilating the entirety of the shia government... I don't know. There's no way in hell he's genociding the population.

What part of his statement leads you to believe he is referring to all the Iranian people when he talks about regime change and says God Bless the Great People of Iran and not that he is referring to the radical islamic terrorist regime when he says 47 years of extortion, corruption and death? Especially since they refer to themselves as the new civilization.

I agree with this.
I think in this instance it might fit though as Iran has its Theocratic Shia government as well as a large contingent of people that would like to shake that off. It is a stretch to call that two civilizations though, I'll admit that.

I know Persian people who have been posting anti-regime messages this whole time, but as of this morning's tweet have started asking "well what are we supposed to do?" Punishing the people for the regime's refusal to cooperate isn't a winning formula.

The part where he discusses civilian infrastructure when talking about wiping out the civilization.
The WH has been pretty clear about stating we have blown up the leadership the like 10 times we have done that since this all began.
It's tiresome playing "what do words mean today" with the people who can't criticize Trump in the slightest. It's literally bastardizing language to fit a political narrative in a way we have vocally opposed the Left of doing for decades.

The original question was about the fact the iranian islamic regime and ayatollah referring to themselves as the new civilization. I am not in on current war planning so I have no idea what they have planned but I know what Trump meant when he used that term. He was trolling the radical islamic terrorist organization running that country.

I’m aware it was a troll. All of his rhetoric is. This is a bit too far here. Dangerously so.
