Have you ever heard of the funding valley of death? It exists because excessive government regulations and will be one of the biggest factors holding us back from space age medicine. The cure for cancer could be pushed back 100 years because of excessive red tape.

Inform people as best you can, let them decide what they put into their bodies. Trying to protect a dying man from himself is the ultimate form of dark irony.

Right to try is shitty legislation. Know who loves right to try? Big pharma.

Well it’s hard to argue such a finely presented argument.

Suck a dick. There’s way more value in that than your “but but but big pharma!!!” strawman

Not the argument I thought you’d make. Mainly because it’s very, very odd.

Is it a sin to refuse chemo? It would seem that it would be using the guidelines you posted.
I would say "yes" if the patient has the ability to accept it and refuses to do so.

So you’re excited about a bill big pharma loves so that what will happen exactly?

Wrong. Pharma didn’t support this bill or lobby for it.

I’m no fan of big pharma or Trump but it’s confusing that someone could be against this.

Just because you’re opposed to someone politically doesn’t mean you can’t toss them a tip of the cap and a when they do something objectively positive, but I guess that’s where we are.

Ironically the party for abortion and assisted suicide is against taking drugs that might kill terminally ill patients if it has the intent to save or help them. The party of death.

Very interesting take.

Will it kill you 100%? You have that right!!!

Huh? That has a 3% chance of saving your life? Nah, gotta wait for big government to clear it for human consumption. We don't want it killing you!

They're about to die anyways

It's just allowing them to throw a Hail Mary and maybe, just maybe, this will lead to future cures and advancements.

Ideally all results recorded, so the actual side effects can be documented, as well as outcomes.

They could pay the first users to be guinea pigs, instead of overcharging.

The controversial bill

I have no idea what idiots think that this would be a controversial bill... To me it is common sense, if someone is terminal than they should have the right to try new drugs that are in the testing phase if they so choose to do so or any drug for that matter. Someone who is terminal is not worried about their safety and knows it may be not be a great chance ,but why not give it a try.
