Believe that Trump is negotiating with the GOP. They are telling him they will spend 200M in the Texas primary for Cornyn or will give him the SAVE ACT in return for not having to and will use those funds elsewhere for other candidates. Let's not forget he is all about making deals.

The SAVE ACT may come via filibuster or other means.

Reminds me of when Vitter ran for Gov and lost due to that prostitution scandal. I may trust Trump on this one and switch my vote back to Cornyn, even though I prefer Paxton. Not sure on this one.

I don't like what a pussy Cornyn is, I like Paxton but I don't think he's getting any middle of the road vote. Stupid housewives with eat up Beto 2.0. Cornyn is the devil you know. Perfect would they appoint Paxton after Cruz goes to The Supreme Court.

I voted Hunt yesterday, Paxton was my 2, Cornyn was my 3.

I won’t vote for Cornyn, and I know a lot of others who won’t either. I’ll just leave that race blank if it’s him of the Dem.

Zero chance. He wants to take his kickbacks national.

Hope he gets recess appointments and/or a talking filibuster out of that deal.

It's all fear porn bullshite anyway. That Democrat isn't winning a statewide race in Texas.

While I generally agree with the statement what makes me nervous is Paxton has some pretty serious baggage, real or perceived. Paxton has been a great AG. But some people do not like him.

I’m good with Trump endorsing Cornyn to get the Save America Act passed. I’m still going to vote for Paxton along with nearly everyone else who was going to before this. This is a big yawn for me.

Just saw that in my twitter feed.

I do not ever think I have heard a POTUS say to the unendorsed, "You must step down if I do not endorse you".

What a pressure statement and one I feel should not have been made, especially after describing the Dem candidate as weak.

But POTUS Trump does play 5D chess on 14 boards simultaneously!!
