He'll argue it's both. Later he'll argue he wasn't wrong.

The military isn't close to the largest slice. The military, the only big expense in the constitution, makes up roughly 1/7th of the budget.

We spend more on just debt interest than we do the military

If austerity causes a recession, the recession needs to happen. Keynesian frickery of stimulus whenever the market regresses is how you end up nearly 40 T in the hole. The buck has to stop somewhere.

Cut away, as long as its not transportation funding. This country needs to upgrade its crumbling roads and bridges.

A trillion this year? If so, frick yes.

If this is political talk for just a reduction in the rate of growth over the next decade, which means even more spending, then yeah, I'm pissed, and anyone who hates the size and scope of government should be too.

he cuts a trillion dollars off it definitely is going to be felt by people. You love to see it but it's the antithesis to all the growth we saw in his first term. That's the entire non-military discretionary budget of Congress......

If you have kids and grandkids that are young, we have to feel the pain for them. It’s inevitable it has to occur. Sacrifice isn’t noble anymore. We all want instant gratification. We’re all losing money, but we have to leave something for those we’ll leave behind. Without us weathering the storm, it’s on them. Your boat and new truck don’t mean anything. Stay strong, it’s the only way.

The President can lop off the first 50% just by eliminating 'Project Stargate', the ridiculous $500 billion dollar AI Data harvesting center boondoggle being promoted by transhumanist lunatic Larry Ellison and his fellow bots.

Another $1 trillion can be lopped off by Doge by eliminating ALL corrupt USAID backdoor $ laundering contracts that undermine and bankrupt the US by a thousand different cuts.

We don't need a Martian colony. Lop off Musk's project.

We don't need more wars.

Good for now. I think we're now in surplus territory

Truth is no one knows exactly what really is allocated for the military budget expenditure which doesn't even include black budget expenses.

I hope it’s 1 trillion cut from the last CR passed and not 1 trillion from a made up 10 year budget.

I assumed tards referred to Rand Paul and Massie.

You go combining these tariffs and $1 trillion comes out of circulation, you’re going to see recession.

They are going to send out stimulus checks to everyone to compensate for this. It’ll be a one year thing, so the cuts will still be impactful in future years.
