If Trump is complimentary to a Huge threat like Tim Scott, you know Scott is the real deal. Very brave of Trump to compliment someone as dangerous to his campaign as Tim Scott. You can say many bad things about Trump, but he is both honest and super courageous. Trump never lies, but if he did he would be brave about it.

If a true American Hero like Lindsey Graham decides to run, Trump would really be torn on who was his most accomplished opponent. But Lindsey is too loyal to run against Trump unless Trump asked him to run. Lindsey and Trump have such a special relationship.

Trump is making the story about him. That's smart. We can all be little girls and cry about how he has to make the story about him, but that's a very viable strategy and he is the master of it.

Why is Trump infatuated with attacking Desantis if the polls are showing Desantis doing poorly against him? My strategy would be to rise above the competition by praising them.

Based on your comment, I assume you consider Fauci a leprechaun.

I don’t think he was scared of Fauci. I think he genuinely thought Fauci knew what he was doing which is ludicrous.

Orange Man is scared of Ron.

DeSantis is a better fighter against the left than Trump.

DeSantis is more electable than Trump.

DeSantis has a grass roots backing already.

DeSantis won Florida by 20 fricking points.

DeSantis has more policy wins than any conservative governor in a swing state in modern times.

DeSantis isn’t 80 years old.

Big money has already flowed to DeSantis because of the above.

That’s why Trump’s scared.

I'm glad Primary Donald is picking someone other than himself. He knows he sucks in the general elections

It wasn't Fauci that had him scared. It was the media and Dems that got him to bend the knee.

Look, I largely agree with most of the statements in your post.

None of it changes the simple fact that this primary is already over. Unless he dies between now and the GOP Convention next summer, Donald Trump is going to be the nominee.

Which makes clear the utter retardation of Trump. He's following the Kari Lake strategy for losing to a liberal moron in what should be a layup of an election.

I wish Trump would stop . Desantis has a much better track record then Scott. This statement would fit Ben Carson but not Scott. Scott is clearly a rhino .

It's interesting. I have always viewed Tim Scott as a decent guy, but a total RINO, neocon, do whatever Lindsay Graham/Mitch McConnel tell him to.

Why does it surprise you that Trump would like someone like that?

I think this misses the point a little.

Trump didn't go into COVID worried about overreach because he isn't worried about overreach. He doesn't have a fundamental core set of values to test against things that happen and arise under his watch.

I don't think he was scared of Fauci or anyone else, he's motivated solely by glorification of self and when COVID came on the scene he thought the best way to become a wartime-like pandemic leader was to empower the deep state health experts and do whatever they wanted, only faster and bigger and better and louder. It was obviously a miscalculation, as he didn't get the glory and he stepped aside for a lot of iffy/bad/intentionally deceptive people.

I suppose it's obvious the Trump/Scott thing could happen.

Jockeying to be Trump's VP seems like a dicey move for Scott (1 term, Trump's 2020 loss, Trump subordinates don't fare well, already well positioned as a Senator), but I assume he's done the math on all of this.

Fact.

Trump literally said out loud he couldn’t fire or stop Fauci because the left would be really mad. He said it.

If the ticket loses, he can just keep his Senate seat and avenue to perpetual reelection.

If so, you'll get Joe Biden again.

I just suspect that if Trump loses again there is going to be a lot of gnashing of teeth and being associated with his second failed attempt to beat Biden will provide minimal prospects moving forward.

Obviously he thinks differently, I have to assume it's his endgame

If we lose again why would Republicans blame Trump. This is what happened in 2018, 2020, & 2022. We would blame cheating and try again. Trump 2028
