Why shouldn’t he be proud of that?
He’d have been thrown in prison for the rest of his life had he done what should have happened, which was nothing other than giving people options to protect themselves like making sure they had enough PPE.
But they forced his hand, so he got them some shots. And didn’t make them mandatory.
Why not be proud?

You understand how stupid this line of thinking is when it comes to MMR, DTaP, Polio, etc., vaccine requirements for schoolchildren, right?
No one is telling parents they HAVE to give their kids those shots. They do have to do so, however, if their kids are going to use public schools (and most private schools).

Another thing.... the vaccine is different than operation warp speed. What Trump brags about is the reduction of time to get the vaccine out program he managed. Hence the name "warp speed", you know like on star trek, speed of light reference.
How was anyone supposed to know the real dangers when ALL of those in authority were guaranteeing the vaccine "safety and efficacy".
It would be a good thing for everyone to develope more than a little skepticism when it comes to powerful institutions demanding radical changes in our culture.
