Not pointless. See: the OP in this thread.
Are you talking about a fake point?

Its not, to anyone objective.
The release was pointless without the false implication.

No.
They baited MAGA into responding like emotional retards.
That was the point.
They succeeded. OP is just one example of the emotional debasement by MAGA

And where were they when Obama authorized more than 550 drone strikes—including strikes that killed American citizens overseas without trial? The same people who claim to care about constitutional rights, executive overreach, and government accountability were silent when his administration dramatically expanded drone warfare. They had no problem with due-process concerns back then, no outrage over civilian casualties, and no demands for restraint or transparency. It’s hard to take their selective moral outrage seriously when they ignored one of the largest expansions of unilateral military power in modern history.

But this as Rush Limbaugh called him was The Magic Negro and HE could do no wrong.
Just as Joe Biden couldn't when he ordered the military to all take the Covid shot or face discipline.
But these were all Democrats....Uber Alles...Sieg Heil!

Yes. This is is the fake point. Had nothing to do with real, illegal orders.

Completely irrelevant.
One judge said illegal. One said legal. How is that irrelevant?

Is that a good thing?
Is that a WIN for your side?
Yes, you have a side.
Wow.

I noticed you were able to insinuate Trumps statement but not the Dems statement. Figures.

Funny how that works for some of the idiots on here.

idiots on here.
But in light of admissions on the part of the participants that no illegal orders have been issued, there are but two remaining bases for the PSA, i.e., its messaging. Both of those bases should be very alarming.
(1) The past experiences of the group in intel and the military (which they heavily emphasized in the PSA) are that those organizations have been so institutionally lax as to leave members confused about needing to follow illegal orders.
(2) The group put the message out to suggest our military command will likely issue illegal orders in the future. That message would be designed to undercut our military leadership, structure, and therefore the United States.

What should we look at?
The actual words used, or a vague concept of "messaging"?
I'll go with the actual, clear, words:
quote:
"Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders. You must refuse illegal orders
No deep interpretation needed when the words are clear and unambiguous.

I have yet to see any "illegal" orders by anyone.
The deception by that group in the video should give everyone pause.
They're "politicians" so, there's that.
I should'nt but, I wake up everyday expecting the worst from people.

Kind of like locking some poor schmuck into a cleverly worded contract that does not say what he is led to believe it says. Good for lawyers. Too bad for the schmuck.
Ignore the clear messaging put out to the next Bradley Manning, Sgt Radford, Maj Hasan or foreign governments. That's great.

Our resident centrists are going to post themselves to death in these threads. They are absolutely apoplectic about Trump.
The irony here is that they had nothing to say about so-called illegal orders when the military was forcing troops to take an experimental vaccine, or share intimate spaces with trans lunatics, or forcing them to learn about white rage and institutional racism. They shrugged their shoulders over Obama toadies ordering rank and file agents to expand warrantless spying on political opponents and media - using false pretenses. But a Trump tweet is a bridge too far?
