As a common person, why are you so vehemently against populism? You’re against your own self having “an equal voice” to that of the corrupt ruling elites? I just don’t get it, as a general matter.
That’s called democracy. Populism isn’t just about having an equal voice. It’s also been quite adequately explained in this thread.
There’s a collectivist strain in populism.
If you don’t think populism can be defined, then ignore it when people type it. It obviously can be defined. And the typical weaknesses of populism are all front and center in the Trump movement.

Yeah, that’s an odd take. You can nibble around the edges of any political definition, but “conservative” and “liberal” are still useful terms and have some core elements that most people agree on. “Populism” is at least as well defined as those two and I would say moreso.
Maybe he’s seen an ostensibly neutral definition of “populism” that totally refutes the one I shared and he’s keeping it to himself. That would be weird, but…….:

I actually agree with her.
Idiots like Loomer make it really hard for me to support Trump. He has a huge problem with numbnuts like these, that are sure to end up in a Trump Administration.

And credit Gavin for knowing the stakes. His role was to knee cap Ron and he did so admirably. Before the debate he even chastised Ron for taking the bait on scheduling this debate.
I’m assuming you’re a Trump supporter based on your responses. If so, this is an idiotic post, no offense.
It is NEVER in the Republicans’ best interest for one of their own to lose a debate to a democrat, which IMO Ron did. Not by as much as some are saying but he did.
I’m a Trump supporter but I’m not a “Trump or bust” Trump supporter. I’m seeing a lot of those people celebrating that Democrats are falling behind in national polling. Also celebrating that Biden is losing a lot of the black vote (which won’t happen, it never will, except on a very small scale). This is because of BIDEN. If Sociopath Newsom runs all of that falling behind and what little of the black vote Trump was going to get goes out the window.
Stop celebrating a Republican losing just because he isn’t Trump. What is so hard to understand about the fact that we need party unity to win this thing? DeSantis guys have to stop hating Trump, Trump supporters have to stop with the “I’m taking my ball and going home if it isn’t Trump” crap too. It’s freaking mind blowing. The Democrats are not hating each other like this.

y few, if any, of the populism specialists amongst us who have even just a decent grasp of the overall concept.
Populism is usually collective, and pits the common man vs the elite. I'm common, but I hate collective.
Most populist movements require activist government to work on their behalf.
But you need the elite too. Populism works as an influence, but not as a movement. It quickly becomes torches and pitchforks, with terrible economic policy.
Most populist movements have been led by demagogues, who mislead the common man.
