One of the first leaders Trump called was Benjamin Netanyahu, and Netanyahu made a great video In support of Trump yesterday. Here it is: LINK
I for one am happy that we will have a better relationship with the only country in the Middle East that shares our values and culture. Eight years of Obama has really put a toll on US-Israeli relations.

Trump said a achieving peace there was the ultimate challenge and he'd like to negotiate it.

True. I don't want to get sucked into their wars, but I do think we have to stand with what is basically an island of democracy in a sea of shite.

Trump is going to let Isreal do what it needs to do in order to keep the region in check. He doesn't give a rats arse about Hamas/Hezbollah/PLA and in fact sees those organizations as anti-American and a threat to the US.

Nothing wrong being on good terms with a stable western friendly nation in that part of the world but from what I understand they haven't always been the best allies and we catch a lot of shite for having their back. Too many folks around these parts get all hard and moist for them because of bible shite.

I'm not so religious, so for me it doesn't have much to do with that aspect of it. It's more of a cultural thing.
There have to be limits on what we give them in aid and we must be wary of getting drawn into conflict because of Israel's problems, but if you give me the choice between Arab/Islamic countries and Israel I'll be on Israel's side every time.
