Gross, I hate this. Looking at what weed has done to the states that have legalized it from my certainly anecdotal info, I think this is a bad move for the country.
If you smoke weed, grow up, loser. Get your act together, try being an adult. and deal with your issues instead of numbing your mind with drugs. And also, you stink. Maybe you can't smell yourself, but you smell terrible and you're not hiding it, no matter how well you think you are.

Yes, he did.
Rescheduling marijuana to Schedule III would mean it requires a prescription from a DEA-registered doctor for dispensing, moving it from the strictly prohibited Schedule I, but it doesn't automatically mean FDA approval or federal legalization; it shifts it into the medical system, allowing pharmacies and practitioners to handle it with strict controls (like ketamine), still requiring compliance with the Controlled Substances Act, unlike recreational sales which remain federally illegal.
So, if The American Hemp Protection Act of 2025 does not pass most hemp products are reclassified as marijuana effectively putting the hemp industry out of business.

What has changed in Louisiana since it was made legal? My mom is 71 years old and has smoked weed since she was a teenager and I would bet anything she could work circles around your bitch arse.

I disagree with this. Not that I give a shite about weed one way or the other, but simply because this is the role of Congress.

It should be legal but this is a step in the right direction anyway
Yeah, but if we were principled we would cry about and say put it back to schedule one if you aren’t going to legalize it.

Now do alcohol. Which from my anecdotal evidence is more damaging to society.

Amazing. We've managed to find the rare person who "supports" the marijuana industry while also claiming decriminalization is bad.

Wrong, I just see who really benefits here and it's not we the people. I support people like myself who benefitted from products that going forward will require a fricken prescription and puts my 2nd Amendment rights at risk.

So, this will be like Juneteenth for potheads?

It is going to involve some guy in a dorm room that sells pot to some fraternity. Sentencing guidelines for some minor drug dealer are set by the Schedule the drug is on.
I particularly would rather they let that guy out of prison to make room for an extra gangbanger carjacking grandma.
So you believe there is anything close to approaching a sizable portion of the US incarcerated population who are there for doing nothing but selling pot to frat boys?

There is no way you get here from moving marijuana off schedule 1.

I researched it extensively in college and my documented results were very consistent. Symptoms manifested as fits of giggles, followed by hilarious comedy jokes, and usually ending with Tiger Pies late night pizza delivery.

I'm also against alcohol, so I've got no problem there either. Look at what Joe Kennedy did and then the Kennedy family tragedies since prohibition was overturned.

C'mon, dude, are you serious? Is that supposed to be a mark of pride?? That's one of the saddest things I've ever heard.
