Opinion is stated in the title. Tell me why Newt wouldn’t make a great pick as CoS.

I think it would be a great pick. Meadows is out though, and he was my first choice

He should promote Jared to Chief of Staff because that will cause the biggest melt from both sides.

Two massive egos in the same room.

Recipe for disaster.

Trump does most of what a COS would do himself.

A strong person like Newt would be a bad fit.

1) he’s practically a fossil

2) he’s the swamp (the swamp is all guys he got into office in 1994 like Dick Shelby)

3) his ego would clash with the President’s

Trump should go for maximum shock value and at least float the rumor that Ann Coulter is a possibility, lol!

He should offer the job to Hillary Clinton and make her do a TV appearance every day. She'd be an insufferable bitch to everyone, dead in a month, and we'd get to watch her cough and squirm and shite herself. Win/win/win.

If you want to go for maximum shock value, you float Bannon’s name. That would provide at least a weeks worth of melts.

Naw, appoint Ivanka and watch the media destroy themselves attacking a strong, successful and intelligent woman.

When Dad (rest his soul) was still alive, he was an ultra-liberal. He had what I would call a sixth-sense about who was really on his side and who was against his side.

I cannot recall even one flaw in his system. He was spot-on, for many years. And he hated Gingrich with the flaming fire of a million suns for as far back as I can remember even hearing the name.

Not saying Newt may or may not have been corrupted since the mid 2000s when dad passed, but up until that point at very least, I know he was a true and total enemy nightmare of all things liberal.

Newt would be great in an advisory role, but not in the front seat. I've seen times when Newt was shaky; could be just getting old, like me. It's gonna be war, and it'll take somebody indefatigable.

Those two egos can't exist peacefully in that close proximity for very long.
