Holy shite son, you are an interesting specimen, I must admit. And not to rain on your parade too much here, but it’s you who’s the extremist poster, with this erratic composition. We get it, you can’t handle Trump, so you don’t like him. The histrionics aren’t really necessary.

The more Bullstuff that comes out about COVID, Potatoe-in-Chief being a senile old man, changing/breaking election laws, and the more people are going to recognize that Trump was cheated a "normal" term.

That recognition will turn to anger with the "normies".
The redemption arc storyline will be just and too much for the old guard to overcome.

The only thing that pushed Biden over the top were thousands and thousands of illegitimate votes in Democratic stronghold cities.
I believe you are right about this, but even with the cheating Trump was trounced in the popular vote. That’s not what wins presidential elections, but we should be aiming for better.

Trump running for President is a mistake. He is not our best option. He is also old.

Joe Biden is not popular. And he is ancient. People voted for him because he is “not Trump.” I don’t expect his popularity to increase.

I’d go with Desantis or something along those lines. Someone who has been steady over the past few years. Avoid Trump, avoid his inner circle. If they go fresh they may be able to pull votes.

We are only a year into this shite show. After 3 more years like the last, any component Republican can win.

Don’t care. You people just don’t get it. If y’all won’t join us in electing Trump or another America First conservative then you’ll be stuck with Biden or Kamala. The choice is yours. We won’t vote for neocons.

Sadly, I agree. The MSM and the Feds will work in conjunction to continually invent new “scandals”, just as they’re presently doing over his taxes.

If he runs, they will do their dead level best to put him behind bars and silence him. Then, I’m afraid the end result will become armed conflict in isolated areas.

I wish he would have left DC and found a younger version of himself who Trump could have helped finance. Someone who would govern the same way without the baggage of having been a target of the Democrats.

I know, I’m stupid

This is what they do not understand.
I have never voted Dem in my life but I will never vote for another RINO, uni-party member ever again.

Don’t be so hard on yourself, shooter. You’re not stupid. But I do have a question: they invented scandals for Trump (a damn fake news free for all, actually - because no consequences whatsoever), so what makes you think they won’t be doing the exact same with Desantis? Even worse, if anything, because they’ve presumably honed their “skills” even more at this latter stage.

This has been a good discussion and love seeing the different viewpoints. I knew there would be downvotes. It surprises me that some of you get so triggered by the thought that Trump is not the best answer for the party to win the election.
Again this is just my opinion. I think it is valid also. To me this is not some argument or something I want or do not want. Not sure where that hate comes from based on my statements.
I really do not care either. Just an opinion on what will happen in the election of Trump is running. The rest of the country is not like all the people a lot of us are around on a day to day basis.

OP is getting flamed on here but he’s absolutely correct. The only way the R’s lose in 2024 is if Trump runs. I’m not even saying Trump would definitely lose, but it opens that door because he would galvanize the entire left into showing up. If he stays out, DeSantis wins in a cakewalk. He’s Trump without the baggage.

As is, the D’s are stuck with Biden, who nobody is happy with, Kamala, who even fewer people like, or an unnamed Uber-lefty who will get destroyed in the general.

Trump brought to light many issues and is right about a lot of stuff, but just like Hillary, he has too much baggage to effectively run the government.

The thing that's absolutely pathetic is that we're continuing to embrace a loser. Someone that not only couldn't stay in the WH after January against Biden, but who paraded around nutjobs in Wood and Powell who told voters to boycott the GA runoffs and stay home in January.

When Hillary wasn't in the WH after 2016 the left continued to embrace her and was begging for her to make a comeback. It was absolutely pathetic. We should be better than that, and unfortunately this shows that we don't know how to handle success. We get a little bit of success (2016) and we don't know how to handle it let alone sustain it.

I like winners. Not people who lose. Winners stay in office, losers lie and make excuses. When HW Bush, McCain, and Romney lost we told them to frick off, and rightfully so. They were fricking losers who failed us. Why the frick are we not doing the same to DT?

Also, if everything is so rigged, then why is he going to run again? Exactly. It was an excuse to protect his fragile little ego. This guy will be 78 in 2024 and couldn't stay in office against Biden. Frick him. Time to move on and get behind someone with his policies but without the baggage and horrendous message discipline.

2024 has the potential to be a landslide election, provided we get behind the right candidate. MSNBC and CNN keep mentioning Trump because they want him to run since they know he'll lose. The Lincoln Project was BEGGING Trump to run again over the summer so he could take out a potential Republican candidate they know will win. If we want to turn down a slam-dunk election in favor of a coin-flip then we deserve the 50-50 chance of losing in 2024.

Lol if you want our leader picked by the current system - you haven’t been paying attention - I don’t want him to run for president but a call to change the system - our voting system is bs so why keeping relying on it. Time to change the system like our founders wanted.

The difference is that DeSantis is much smarter and far more articulate. He also doesn't constantly step on his own dick and fall into the media's traps again and again...and again. He'll tell the media exactly WHY they're fake news as opposed to repeating "fake news" 10 time in a row like a broken robot.

The guy also has nowhere near the baggage in his personal life.

Exactly. Yet there are a few on this board who would rather stick Trump out there and open the door to potentially lossing what maybe one of the easiest elections for the Republican candidate in a long time and who may also be able to offer some of the same throngs Trump did but without the baggage it will create.

Could someone list a few America First Conservatives that would be acceptable? Is Trump the only non-RINO or are there other acceptable folks? Love to see the list who met this criteria. Is Ted Cruz a RINO, was Ronald Reagan or Barry Goldwater a RINO?
