This is the lead story at WaPo and they know that it's gonna be the lead story for everyone tonight. I can guarantee you they have sourced this to death.

No, you can't. No, they didn't.

A lot of intelligence professionals have indicated the specificity of what Trump said could put some of our intelligence sources at risk

he didn't share our Intel, he shared someone else's intel that was given to us.

Yes, which is now also our intel. Or does this super secret source dictate how the U.S. can conduct it's foreign policy and share intel?

Its cool if I let you borrow my lawn mower, but if I borrow my neighbor's lawn mower and then lend it to you without asking them. Totally uncool. Could you blame that friend if they never let me borrow their lawn mower again? frick no.

Asinine comparison. We are discussing supposed Intel on the Islamic State. Who is our super secret source and who are they to threaten withholding intel on IS from us or demanding we acquiesce to their conditions regarding who we can and can't share high value intel with?

You don't have anywhere near enough info to draw such close minded conclusions but you certainly have enough antipathy for Trump to jump on a narrative with very limited information so long as it serves to damage Trump politically.

There is no way this is illegal, but if you care about natsec issues this should be troubling.

There's no where near enough info for me to find this troubling. Sharing ISIS info with Russia, which Trump clearly has sought to use the fight against ISIS as a potential common ground for bettering relations, is not some grave national security blunder, unless you see ISIS as simply a proxy enemy to utilize in geopolitical warfare with Russia. Who is this secret source who gets bent out of shape that Intel on the Islamic State is shared amongst two of the world's preeminent militaries who both happen to share the same goals of combating this terrorist, psychotic enemy? Is this "source" threatening to now withhold giving us Intel on the Islamic State? What is the rationale behind that and who exactly does this source think they are to make such demands on us? I'm not quite sure how anyone can draw definitive conclusions given the blatant lack of information at hand and the track record of less than true or corroborated claims leaked by anti-Trump persons in both the government and media to discredit his agenda.

Yes really. McMasters denied the WaPo's claim in it's entirety.
