So you’re taking a snapshot of July, which everyone agrees was a rough month for the economy, but ignoring the previous two months of June and May which were great?

The market has already corrected from the July reports. If it continues for August and September then maybe the economy is slowing down, and Trump might have a point to run on.

The 2.9% inflation report should encourage consumers, and we saw already saw that with the retail growth of 1% in July.

Sorry, but the sky is not falling. Trump thinks people are stupid and is painting this dire picture, and that is simply not the case.

You’re so stupid

Gawdam, that is a broad use of vocabulary. Almost like my dad can whip your dad---------ya know, like sixth grader bullshite.

You are way out over your skis if you are trying to talk energy, best let the big boys have the room while you sit at the little kids table.

Oil is a WORLD commodity. As such the use of said commodity around the world determines overall price unless that commodity is price subsidized by the Country where fuel is cheaper in example Saudi.

Uh, no its not. It is a paper tiger at this point because inflation compounding over the last three years is clearing out discretionary income.

There is too much money in circulation to claim the economy is strong.

No, what Payne is saying is July was bad and what we have from August is also bad. That is the beginning of a trend, and one can argue that this "great" economy Trump would inherit really isn't so. We shall see.

ETA: The previous two month's take home pay was flat.

All those things increase productivity, lower the cost of production (energy), or decrease money printing (government waste).
All those effect inflation.

Except cutting taxes of course

More $$$ was chasing fewer goods and services.

Correct. Which is also why cutting taxes won't help with inflation.

It’s hard to judge August with 1 week of manufacturing data. I’d rather wait and see what it looks like in September. Fox is always gonna paint it negatively just like CNN spins it positively.

We shall see.

Exactly. Americans number one concern is the economy. If it collapses leading up to the election, I think Trump has a chance. If it stays steady, then I think Harris will win. She is part of the incumbent administration, and it’ll be hard to beat that.

People still have to go to the grocery store. Prices are still inflated.

The only useful part of the plan is cutting wasteful spending which will have negligible effect on anything

The "harness American Energy" sounds like a good plan but we're already doing that

Most of these things don't address inflation in any meaningful way and cutting taxes might have the opposite effect

Yep, gonna agree with you. Concrete being poured right and left for house slabs. Rough ranch land is not going begging for buyers. Help wanted signs everywhere you look and Bass Pro and ever gun shop along with other toy sellers doing good and I'm in one of the top ten poor States.

Kamala bashes that plan in 15 minutes. Calls it racist and divisive to our country.

Then in 2 weeks she releases the same plan and the MSM praises her leadership and forward thinking while trump avoids questions and debates.

Maybe, maybe not. I tend to disagree with you. However, that doesn't matter. People vote with their pocket books, and they see their grocery bills.

I can promise you giving people $25k for homes won't reduce inflation.

Well, one of the candidates never talks about their plan or policies and it’s damn sure not Donald Trump.
