Get people off welfare starting Jan 2026 and people hunting jobs will be everywhere.

If they backtrack on this and cutting the budget I will be hugely disappointed. I have prepped to be disappointed.

I don't know the laws.

What I do know is there is ALOT of resources freely available to them. If they don't try using them, that is their own folly.

My guess is a good many never thought to bother because the status quo has been "who cares?" for so long.

Work visas, chain migration, sponsorships, refugee status, asylum seekers... so many ways to get their other foot in the door.

But they will just pass that extra cost on to the consumer.

Have corporations not been doing this since the beginning of time? When has anything stayed the same or gone down?

He needs to protect construction as well. Like I said to some of you other mouthbreathing dipshits on here, white/black people aren't coming back to general labor no matter how much you yip and yap about it.

When ICE pulls up to a construction site and arrests everybody, what do you think happens? You think the GC is like "Finally - I guess it's time to hire all the white dudes...".

Nope. All that happens is that the university/hospital/high school sees progress slow by about 35-40%. You'll see it too though in real time soon enough.

Now, watch while the Cult shifts their views on the subject and supports allowing illegals with no other criminal activity to stay.

Just watch. It will happen— just like it did with big, liberal spending and debt. Their views will change to match whatever Trump says at the moment. If Trump shifts to only deporting some illegals, then they will, too.

It may not be, today. But, it is coming. ?

Liberals do the same exact thing . They follow the marching orders of their liberal politicians. It was never an issue when I Obama was reporting illegals by the millions. Hypocrisy at its finest.

That's another misconception. Y'all think these guys are getting $8 bucks an hour. They're already at top dollar because they hustle. You think I'm kidding... these dudes blow the doors off the locals as far as production goes. I've seen it with my own eyes. The market already pays them what their true worth is.

If only they were legal.... oh well, back to where they came from and they can work in their own country. Hire Americans, pay Americans

I love word salad olympics.

One of my favorites is "people currently experiencing homelessness"... and I used to think "unhoused" was ridiculous- but at least it was short!

Not disagreeing...my understanding is that once they cross illegally, there only option to try to get legal is by applying for asylum. Is there another route?

I'm not arguing for illegals. I think they all should be deported. I don't see any means of them "getting legal" once they enter illegally.

I think, if you're going to wave the white flag to "the good ones", the approach has to start in the workplace.

First, you work to document as many as you can and you use the laws we have on the books already to hold employers accountable. Then, we need a program for those employers to use that can track the employment status of the illegal alien. The employer should be required to meet all minimum wage laws and provide insurance. That would relieve some of the abuse of entitlement systems. Employers should have to file monthly reports on every employee in the program, if they fail their participation in program should be revoked and they should be fined and/or prosecuted.

The two main issues we are dealing with is that we don't have a damn clue who these people are and they are sucking up resources (entitlements, healthcare, etc.) at an unsustainable rate. Whatever we do has to address those two problems.

Agreed. They’re two peas in a pod, really, except on a couple of social issues.
