Nah, just a self ban bet.
But I see that you know you were wrong, are not man enough to admit it—which I predicted, thus the bet—and will move on.
Is challenging you to a bet childish? Sure.
But if you don't think this entire fricking board is one of the most childish cultures that exists on planet Earth, I don't know what to tell you.

I 100% agree and I don't think that's a contradictory statement with my stance on tariffs. I also think that wades into a philosophical argument on how much our government should be allowed to guide our decisions. If we accept that they should intervene in the market to discourage buying Chinese junk, do we also allow them to implement sin taxes on junk food? Where we draw the line becomes a gray area worth debating.

Judging the stock market on an hour-by-hour basis is beyond dumb. Really anything less than Year over Year is useless for most consumers who don't buy and trade stocks on a daily basis.
It’s helpful to get real time reaction to policy decisions and other geopolitical developments.
I’m not worried about it long term.

Everyone else seems willing to negotiate better trade deals. It will be better for all long term
Xi on the other hand has decided to play hardball

It's helpful to judge an issue by the people running around with their hair on fire because of the decision? No. If you aren't worried about it long term, this is the very best opportunity to buy. I'm hoping the market crashes to the point that people are jumping out of windows. My little pittance will go that much further.

I hear you and I agree with you for the most part. I was mostly just pontificating on this one facet which would be “less disposable shite” and how that would impact our soul.
Obviously there is a sliding scale on things we will tolerate and often the more I try and find absolutes the more comfortable I have to be in the reality that we all must accept compromise and a level of hypocrisy.

I asked you to post it because I don't recall this thread you speak of.
In response, you flip the frick out and throw out a ban bet showing your arse.
I don't recall ever really addressing you before which makes it even more hilarious.
At this point just frick off child.
What a moron.

That is an oversimplification of the stock market, but we agree that it’s a buying opportunity for long term investors.

Yet you’re ok with unfair trade deficits, government spending & waste, and pure idiocy from liberal leaders.

Its exactly what we need.

Unfortunately they only learn by trial and error.

As one of the little guys, I don't mind seeing Trump raising tariffs on China.
