Frankly Russia needs to either stop or just finish the job. It's clear the motive is to suck the EU and US dry so if their motivation is to play a War of Attrition then good luck when the missiles get pointed in your direction.
The military protects US interests which entails our economy so intentionally hurting it involves consequences. It's the whole we gave you plenty of time but now it either stops or out hat gets thrown into the ring.

Putin has not changed… at all.
He had somehow convinced Trump that Putin himself wanted peace, and that Nazis in Ukraine were to blame…
Why such far fetched ideas were so easily accepted remains a mystery.
Putin does want peace. He made it clear what must happen for peace but the USA completely ignores it.
Meanwhile Zelenski keeps dating there will be no end to the war unless Russia is defeated. No concessions; just begging for more war.
You people are truly moronic.

Spot freaking on. However…
The trouble Trump is going to have with it is the rare earth elements and Russia getting more and more control of them. Trump understands their value and importance to us long term. He can’t just withdraw support and cede them to Russia. So we’re the ones stuck between a rock and a hard place as Russia slowly bleeds Ukraine out and advances on newly conquered territories. Slow but steady progress is perfectly acceptable to Putin. He doesn’t give a crap about the lives of his and his contracted armies.

Putin has been doing lip service to peace in response to Trump's tough act with Ukraine. The substantiveness of that is up for debate, but Putin is not beyond playing along
I tend to think Putin on war is different than EU leaders on tariffs, but nonetheless, we'll see how it goes.

I agree you gotta give Putin something but I wouldn't say he's winning the war easily.

He’s putting pressure on Ukraine too. Both sides are trying to be brought to the table.

But wait, I thought the left believed Trump loved Putin and colluded with Russia? Did you finally give up on that hoax?

Ukraine doesn’t want to give up any land. We can’t force them to accept the Russian terms.

That is not Correct. Russia already controls more than 80% of the 4 oblast. Ukraine is losing those regardless if they continue to fight or not. Trump telling Zelensky he is pulling all aid and weapons if he doesn't sign that Peace Agreement recognizing those territories and Crimea as Russian would have Zelensky signing that agreement after 1 week of no support. That is what Trump originally told Zelensky he was going to have to do, now Trump is listening to the Neocons. This is actually the worst case scenario for Ukraine because I think if they signed a peace agreement they could build back up their military with a 4 year break but without that break they are in real danger of losing alot more territory
