I have to think Iran's threats led to pressure from Gulf states currently helping us.
The straight + infrastructure of the Gulf states is definitely something that makes this more difficult (in addition to the rest of why beating Iran is tough)

I have no idea what you're asking.... What I was saying is just the basic simple common sense that possibly Trump needs to take some melatonin or something to sleep.

Right now the biggest asymmetry I see is that we have to do everything we claim we want to do to increase the pain enough in the regime to "win", while Iran can have a much lower success rate and make things too painful.
So while Iran, in this example, would never be able to hit ALL the targets, they only need to hit 1 major one (like a desalination plant). We would have to hit ALL their power plants.
So we can sink all their ships, sure, but they only have to sink one tanker and the global shipping industry flips on its head. This applies if they target one, one hundred, one thousand, or one million.
