They'll fold. This was a lose-lose issue for Republicans from jump street.

They gave the budget to Biden. He could sign it. Debt ceiling crisis avoided.

But he won't meet with them.

frick the dems. I would ask for more than they already have

Yeah but the uniparty is all on the same team.

What’s that poker movie where all the pros are sat around the table waiting for a mark to sit down with them so they can take all their money? The pros aren’t always working together necessarily, but they don’t get in each other’s way either. The game is not to beat up on each other, but rather to take money from the mark.

This is what the bureaucratic state has reduced American taxpayers to. A mark.

The problem is that the GOP has zero leverage.

Their leverage is the debt ceiling

Biden will just use the 14th Amendment to make payments if it comes down to it. If SCOTUS strikes that, it will be blamed entirely on Republicans.

Or, we will default and it will be entirely blamed on Republicans. Like I said, zero leverage.

This was not good strategy.

So what?

The media is a leftist propaganda machine anyway so the R's aren't going to win that war no matter what they do.

For once, I would like to see the R's grow a pair and follow through.

Trump added more debt to this country than any president in history besides Obama. He needs to go away

Hoping for a default just so you can feel better about Republicans growing a pair is petty and stupid.

This has been going on for decades.

Republicans threaten to not raise the ceiling. Democrats blame them for it. They cave.

At some point they have to stand strong.
