Apparently less that 1% of SA's think land ownership is a major issue. This is about the government seizing more control. No company wants to invest in a country where the government doesn't recognize property rights.
No disagreement here.

By your logic, you caring about NK is a complete denial of the carnage happening in Chicago on a daily basis.

WHY WON'T YOU ADDRESS THE REAL ISSUES THAT AFFECT REAL AMERICANS AT HOME?!

See how that works?

No because I've talked about all those things. People on this board don't talk about anything in any of those other countries really. It's all just about how we made significant strides to get Kim Jong-un to maybe think about taking apart his nuclear armaments. I know what you're trying to say but you're wrong and you know it.

Now you're crawfishing. So just because Trump hasn't addressed every international transgression on Earth, he's now being accused of something nefarious?

I'm not saying anything wrong and you know it. You're just upset that Trump is trying to stick up for white people in a predominately black country.

Quit being disingenuous. He's had plenty of opportunities to say something about the completely horrid human rights violations in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and North Korea. It's not about him having to go around and address every little thing in the entire world and you're being disingenuous.

No. I'm mad that people are pretending like this is the only thing that's happening in the world because Trump said it. I especially don't like that so many people in this board don't care about it unless it involves white people being killed. I do think it's a terrible thing though

South Africa is making a change to their constitution to allow for confiscation of farms without compensation. This could be interpreted as a step towards Zimbabwean style cleansing. But it might not lead to that and in fact has not yet begun.

And those countries are either nuclear powers or strategic regional allies. Treating every country as diplomatic equals is asinine and unrealistic. Grow up.

As far as I can tell, this isn't the only issue people are talking about. You're being hysterical. Calm down.

it would be the type of immigrants a country can use.

black african culture as a whole has always been a drag on everything around it.

theyll starve to death and kill each other after the whites are gone.

fact.

Couldn't hurt to at least acknowledge it though right?

There was an OT thread yesterday with a video link to a documentary about the farm murders LINK

And the argument from the South African president in response to Trump's tweet LINK

A cursory look and I am reading murders are few and random, the policy to give land back has been around for over a decade and hasn't really transformed much, and the national concern was recently water shortages.

Is this just folks listening to talking heads and special interest groups and reacting way too heavy to it?

Ah yes, just like the "white privilege" nonsense.

"We just want you to acknowledge it!"

As if that makes any difference

I fully support President trump in anything he does to stop this genocide. I have a dear friend who still has family members who are farmers in SA. This land WAS NOT taken from black people.

Many may not know, but Putin has sent Russian soldiers to protect some of these farmers.

A remuneration policy has been around, but it's been more of an incentive for white landowners to sell to black buyers at market value rather than straight confiscation, which is what Malema and his crowd are trying to push.

Murders of white farmers has been an issue since the 1990's, but the extent and impact is hotly disputed.

There are some Boer farmer political groups that are really pushing this, but Malema and his faction of the former ANC are really pushing the whole situation into overdrive. He is a lunatic and isn't too far from Beer Hall Putsch-style language at this point.

I think what people should be concerned about is if people like Malema continue to gain power there, a civil war is a possible outcome.

Doesn't differ much from the narrative in the US that this country was built by blacks

So it is a bit of hyperbole in this thread, but a real need to look into SA's leadership and what it's policies create. It's not my country, so my opposition to land confiscation is moot, but I don't see how that does not lead to issues there. It isn't bad for us to be keeping an eye on it, just the message is a little dramatized, imo.
