I figured he would morph into that conversation somehow but he never did. Maybe he made an honest attempt to keep things "peaceful" on his part unlike that ill-mannered Guthrie.

I actually think it worked in his favor not to talk about that. He needs to hit Joe with it directly, and by that point more bombshells will likely be released that he can go after Joe with.

The whole picture isn’t in frame yet. Give it a few more days and there will be more. He didn’t want to shoot his wad too early and speed up the news cycle. Slow play this one and it has the potential to bury Biden. Also gives him the chance that if the info is bad to not look like a fool chasing it.
