You should know damn well what's going on in Alaska and Hawaii is not comparable to the lower 48, it just isn't.
Food prices arent necessarily higher in Juneau than lower 48.
If youre thinking about Barrow, you have a good point.

Or they stop buying other shite. No matter what president is in office, inflation is real and food prices are going to be up no matter what. I agree the republicans haven't been talking about it. But spending tax money to lower food costs is not something I'm interested in.
The good thing about food costs is it will work itself out naturally through capitalism rather quickly. Some of that simply means it will stay high.
Its pretty crazy when you think about being able to buy a 20 lbs turkey for only $20. Its amazing we can feed, butcher, transport, and sell a bird for that, imo.

You dont have to spend money to lower cost.
All you need to do is restrict regulations, including Trumps idiotic tariffs.

"I won on the border, and I won on groceries. Very simple word, groceries. Like almost -- you know, who uses the word? I started using the word -- the groceries. When you buy apples, when you buy bacon, when you buy eggs, they would double and triple the price over a short period of time, and I won an election based on that. We're going to bring those prices way down.

What we really need to do is ensure nothing is made in the USA and no low-skill workers can find a job. That'll fix everything!

Grocery prices are down 5-10% c/w 2023.
The meal you referenced feeds the same 10 people as the previous one. So fewer items, but larger portions.

Food prices here have jumped 20-30% in the past week. Just came back from the store.
You live in remote Alaska not sure that is indicative of the rest of the country

Sure they can. They just dont like the work.
Bringing back low margin manufacturing like MAGA wants to will create shite jobs that pay no better than fast food work.

Solid chance that Trump has never stepped foot in a grocery store in his life.

I grocery shop a lot. I can tell gasoline prices are lower. Grocery prices are high.

Well Roger just went shopping and said they're up 30%. So that settles it.

I'm paying far less on groceries, for the same number of people, than I was last year. That's how I define it.

This dude calls manufacturing "low margin," and then cites restaurants.
You're a clown.
