Meanwhile nations are compiling Bitcoin reserves. Hope you enjoy holding on to your USD that is losing value as I type this.

Anyone who thinks Bitcoin is a long term crypto answer probably also bought in hard on betamax.

The USD is fine. Anyone worried about the USD simply isn't looking at a big enough picture. If you think USD is on brink of collapse you must think every other currency is as well for one reason or another.....

It's a pump and dump. Basically you come up with either a crypto or a stock and you basically tell everyone hey this is going to be big this is going to be really big and so everybody buys it due to FOMO (fear of missing out) and the people that actually make the money are the ones that either had inside knowledge before it launched or they got in really early and then they basically pull the rug out from under the other people so basically a certain group of people makes money and then everyone else after it crashes is left trying to sell what they have at a loss.

Rug pull, scam, pump & dump. Happens all the time it's usually prosecuted, for instance they're going after that hawk tua girl for doing the same thing. Of course hers was on a much smaller scale.

There was some like 10-year-old kid who recently created his own crypto and pumped it and then dumped it like 1 hour later and he made like $30,000 but he got caught and had to pay the money back.

That's just not true. A powerful military and nuclear weapons beg to differ.

That and the blood sweat and tears of the american worker. I hate when people act like the US dollar isn't backed by anything. It is backed by us.

The problem is people lump all cryptocurrency together. There is some really awesome projects in the space projects that could save businesses millions of dollars which in turn can pass along to us the consumer.

Reducing fraud, eliminating fees on currency exchanges, making it to where you don't have to wait on a bank to get your money, making it impossible for financial institutions to get hacked via blockchain. These are all real things that already exist, it's not just about meme coins and things that have no utility whatsoever.

Yes, but also in this instance, what do you think the chances are the Trumps and all the "insiders" didn't make sure they personally had many coins in their accounts prior to quietly launching on a Saturday morning.

Nobody should be happy about this. It's an absolutely terrible look.

Is this legit President Trump doing this or some other people?
It's set up by an LLC that he at least nominally controls. Even if you leave Trump himself specifically out of it, this is a terrible look.

I have trouble finding any sympathy for anyone who loses money in a crypto meme scam to be honest.

Anybody who knows how to purchase these shite coins should know better.

Covid vaccine was the greatest meme-coin of all time.

I’m not so dense that i I realize that there is no asset behind it.
It doesn't even pretend to have the nominal feature of an already-known, finite maximum number of coins.

In addition to the fact that on the US "balance sheet" there are massive assets. You know, like half the land out west.

This is actually the first thing in years that has made me actually reconsider if I think Trump is fit for the job (that I voted for him to do).

The level of hypocrisy on this is mindblowing. If almost literally anyone else had done this - dem or RINO or whatever, the melt would have been overwhelming. Instead, you idiots are cheering

Maybe this really has become a banana republic.

There's no doubt this will be quickly forgotten - that's just the nature of things But none of us should be happy about a cadre of insiders using the imprimatur of government to make themselves massively wealthy. This isn't a few pennies on stocks or some contract to build a bridge. It's highly likely that several/many insiders literally made tens of millions each this weekend. You think that's a healthy trend for people in government?

We just spent YEARS (rightfully) lambasting the Biden's for corruption and enrichment.
