Trump has a tendency to put his friends in delicate positions. He did it with Brady for sure. Supposedly Tom said to him in 2016 after that last NH rally when he started to realize how the media hated Trump “you can’t do this - my wife is going to lose $85 million a year in modeling gigs and endorsements” and Trump backed off and even apologized. Neither really understood how vile and ridiculous the media was until then. The MAGA hat that Kraft put in his locker wasn’t even a big deal - it had been there for over a week until a (reporter) started asking TB12 about it.

I feel like Trump should be more chill about it - we all know he is famous and knows everybody. Just let your friendships speak for themselves. It’s one thing to troll but another to bring your mostly apolitical friends into things. He’s learned tho and been better about that aspect of it.

Hopefully O doesn’t have to denounce Trump to quell unrest in the locker room

Who gives a shite? The left trying to convince everyone that 18-20 year olds should be making decisions is comical.

I agree 100% but it’s the climate we’re in right now:

If you think Ed Orgeron is going to let a few malcontent players being used as political props derail his program because that’s the “climate” we’re in, I don’t know what to tell you.

lol I wonder how the players feel about this.

Shouldn’t matter. The bigger issue would be why a player WOULD have a problem with it

Who gives a shite? It is not the responsibility of a grown man to worry about the feelings of other men's feelings in what they say or support politically. If the players don't like well they will just have to deal with it.

I can’t imagine that anyone would think a shrimp baw from Cajun country would be a democrat in the first place. To me O bring a trump supporter isn’t the least bit surprising.

Which decisions are you referring to? Because on this particular issue it seems Trump, not the left, has taken the angle of arguing to let 18-20 yo’s make the decision on whether they play or not. I’m not saying which is right or wrong, I just kind of think you have this backwards, no?

He’s also a JBE supporter. Or at least he is playing the game and outwardly expresses his support when he thinks it makes sense to do so. I’m not really sure of his political leanings, but it’s obvious he and POTUS have a good relationship.

Anyone that has a problem with that needs their head examined.

Healthcare, city planning, public services, I could go on. Virtually the entire dem platform is based on the ramblings of children from Twitter.

In regards to football, Trump tweeting his agreement with players wanting to play is not the same as letting them make the decision.

I posted this in another thread the other night:

I’ve always liked Coach O. But I’m even liking Sabear a little bit today!

2 great Americans!

With NO apologies to Michelle Obama....

For the first time in my adult life, I am really proud of my country, because it feels like hope is making a comeback; not just because Coach O has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change.

How do we get to a place where a Football Coach can’t say something nice about the President of the United States?

Regardless- Coach O has survived worse to be sure.
