It was extortion. The sleaze lawyer took money and never even paid Stormy or told Trump anything about it.

What would matter is she lied when she said she did. The original lie matters because it enticed Cohen the rat to pay her off w/o Trump's knowledge. The Cohen payoff was implied as "hush money" rather than "extortion money." That is the source of the legal action.
The fact SD "came clean" does not mitigate her original culpability.

The first woman he went out with more than once - tried to extort him. He went to his lawyer about it and was advised they It is not unusual. The gold diggers in Houston are a special kind of trash. It’s their skill.
They do some kind of fake sex scandal thing and they don’t even have to marry the guy or even frick him if they don’t want to.
