I see companies spending billions on AI. I dont think some random dude “training” AI is going to change anything. I could be wrong. I hope I am wrong.

Look man, going back to what he said yesterday that started all of this stupid shite, all he ever said was that he trains AI as a hobby in response to someone who was accusing him of not understanding what the hell AI was. Ironically enough, the person who said that to him was actually displaying a lack of knowledge on the subject themselves.
He never said he was an expert in the field, a world-changing programmer, a tech CEO, or any of that shite. He was just saying that he is not ignorant as to what AI is.
It's now been two days of this shite because you didn't understand what he was saying and have been mischaracterizing everything he has said. It's frickin low-brow.

Here Anna Paulina Luna gives her thoughts on all of this. She too likens AI development to the race to build the atomic bomb. Further confirmation that the government views this as a national security imperative. This is why they will not slow down AI development under any circumstances so long as they cannot also ensure that other nations also slow down their own development.
