1 to 3 what? Numbers without units are meaningless.

I don’t smoke that stuff, but I’d say that’s honestly about where it belongs.

Probably the right thing to do.

But those damn smokers are just annoying as hell. And they smell like shite.

Frankly, probably where it belongs on a federal level.

It isn't harmless as its proponents suggest. It isn't as harmful (if regulated) as its opponents suggest.

The already underway and rampant legalization movement will do much more harm than this reasonable measure (which is overdue and if it had been timely, might have headed off the legalization disaster at the pass).

I don’t love smelling it either but I wonder if you boomers were saying this when everyone smoked cigarettes everywhere you went.

Well, that’s Trump pragmatism as usual. And the tradition of Freedom as well, as there are many who employ cannabis in the same way that past generations did alcohol.

There is an essential and critical difference though (IMO), such being that there are perceptual,‘spiritual’ aspects found in the effects of marijuana that do not exist via alcohol. Alcohol is a mind numbing substance while marijuana is both a perception stimulus which them moves to the number.

Of course as is with any ‘spiritual’ stimuli, one is opened to BOTH POLES of spiritually. Good and evil. Thank God for that if you truly think that people should be allowed to choose their ultimate fate. For the glory of of overcoming Evil and the only true gift or worship that is something of our own to offer our Creator God for L
Loving us enough to give us a shot.

Re Law, we’ve bigger fish to fry and this will win votes that would otherwise go Leftist.

I’m still conflicted. Jesus is too given the dire situation.

Sure people get high too, but I think it is better than getting drunk.

Here's a recent Tucker interview that people who think it only "helps people" and that its "no big deal and better than alcohol" should consider.

Got damn, schedule IV drugs are fricking 10x worse than schedule III. Benzos are safer than steroids? Yeah right, ask anyone who has had to withdraw from them- damn near killed Jordan Peterson. One of the only drugs other than Alcohol that can kill you with withdrawals.

Weed was on the same level as cocaine?

I don’t know if marijuana “helps” anyone. I will say that I have seen a lot of people destroy their lives with alcohol. Never seen anyone destroy their life over marijuana. I’d much rather deal with a stoned person over a drunk person. Alcohol and benzos are the only substances where the withdrawals from those substances can kill you.

I was thinking the same thing especially considering Xanax is the ONLY thing on this list that will legit kill you in detox if you aren't careful

Me too. Only time I saw one of my grandpa's cry, when one of his brothers succumb to liver failure from being an alcoholic. Which I learned later, was the 2nd brother to die of the same thing.

I have. One of my best friends is dealing with major heart issues in his mid 30s because he has smoked weed since he was 13yos.

I mentioned this before, I had a car roll up next to me a few months back during my morning commute with weed smoke coming out of the small crack in the windows. I look over and the couple in front getting stone. Looked in back and their were 3 little kids hanging out. Not in booster seats, and doubt they had their seat belts on. But hey that's no big deal I guess cause stoners are way better.

Like anything, apple pie with Blue Bell on top included, habitual use is problematic. Dependence is vulnerability and requires vigilance and discipline, something that weak minded people don’t have. Therein the societal problem, AND for Christians like myself, the scriptural basis and responsibility that though I can finesse my choice to use marijuana, my grandchildren might not. I then “cast a stumbling block before the weak” and bad stuff might then come back to bite me in the arse.

No doubt that marijuana is a “gateway” drug. Same can be said of alcohol.

Why smoke it when you can get high from gummies? Is it cheaper in smoke form?
