I'm less surprised the Alabama gop nominated Moore than you, apparently.
Again, remember that the vast majority of the Alabama GOP didn't vote to nominate Moore. Either Brooks or Strange could have put the best interests of the state and country ahead of their own egos and dropped out and thrown their support to the other.

Bears repeating.
The swamp protects its own and sure as hell will do just that against someone like Trump.
All the more reason to do it.
Trump seems to want to expose the swamp creatures.

A wise lesson here, don't give cabinet jobs to people who have way too many friends in the senate if there's a chance you could fire them and you still need those same people to approve your new hire.
Trump went on record about hiring Sessions for this fact. I mean I get the whole swamp thing but you have to know people and you have to know how the process works to get shite done.

Best case scenario at this point is for Sessions to say he's voluntarily stepping down to take some time off before preparing for a 2020 campaign to take back his old senate seat from Doug Jones.

Just another convenient excuse for Trump's inaction.
Dude, Trump is not what you would call lazy or cowardly. When he wants something done, he gets it done. His entire presidency has been a big example of that.
This convenient excuse as you call it has actually been floated by Never Trumpers and liberals including NT74 and Iosh on here and I think they're right.

That's a double edged sword and unfortunately for us and Trump, we got the wrong and longer end of the sword.
Sessions is why you should never fully trust someone who's spent 20+ years in DC as a politican/bureaucrat.
That place is a snake pit.

Maybe just maybe Trump should keep up with his promises like proposing legislation for term limits so we can start getting rid of these creatures.
Many people on this board think it’s a waste of time because the House & Senate would never pass it. Well put the power back to the people and have them vote out/primary any piece of shite that doesn’t want term limits.
Trump campaigned on it and mentioned it at every rally leading up the election.
He can market the shite out of it via twitter and other outlets but for some reason he’s been reluctant to mention it these days.

You can't hire a swamp creature in Jeff Sessions and claim you're draining the swamp.

Yay let’s get some more establishment GOPers in DC

He hasn't fired Sessions because he does not want to fire Sessions, not because he fears ANYTHING, Gheez don't you understand the man yet

Sorry but he’s being a coward with his DOJ if he’s scared of McConnell.
What’s Mitch going to do? Refuse to appoint an AG for the next three years because he’s upset his friend got fired?
Trump needs to step up and lead. The weens in the Senate will eventually follow suit even though they may protest loudly at first.
