how about either

1) follow a source that is not directly invested the process you are trying to follow or
2) stop trying to pretend it is tiresome and sky screaming (to you) when what you are following is clearly exactly what you are looking for.

For you. For me, I enjoy every day of it. It's worth 10 x the $30 billion if we end up breaking Iran's back.

Only hate the loss of life on our side (and some small school girls).

I'm perfectly fine with Trump declaring victory on Twitter (even though it would be a lie) and walking away. Let Israel and other Middle Eastern countries deal with this mess.

Yep…and he is a terrible real estate developer also. That’s why his vanity projects in DC are a mess too.

I think we will see a slow exit from this. None of the major news outlets are really reporting on it anymore. What will most likely happen is it will slowly stop being talked about and we will get out of it by just letting it fade away.

Not if oil prices keep rocketing up like it's doing today. If it climb back above $110, the US will have to start doing something about it. I don't think slow exit is an option here. The Strait must be open. I say we send our boys in. Let's finish this.

I mean, it’s hard for me to call this war too.

It’s more of an exercise in futility/stupidity.

LOL Trump just needs to STFU. But the morons here will eat his bumbling words up.

"Im demanding compensation from Iran". You can't even get them to open the Strait and now you're on to them paying for the war?

Think bigger, much bigger.

A few months ago, mentioning oil, Hormuz, or Iran would cause gas prices to skyrocket, the stock market would dip, and the talking heads would all agree that poking Iran with a stick is a terrible terrible idea, backed up by the stock market and gas prices as proof.

Over the past few months, the market is getting desensitized to these changes. Iran can get bitch-slapped over the weekend, and we declare a partial truce minutes before the stock market opens, and now no one bats an eye.

Soon, Iran and the Strait of Hormuz will have zero measuable impact on the stock market and gas prices.

That in and of itself is a huge win, and was unthinkable for the past 40+ years.

That Trump can saber-rattle and the market does not flinch is another win.

Iran has zero negotiating power. They will capitulate eventually.

Any global players expecting money via Iran's holding the Strait hostage are now defunded and defanged.

You have to look at the larger picture.

There's so much more going on here. And I haven't even discussed the impact to China.

Just a few achievements:

Stopped Iran’s enrichments. Will eventually get the material.

Created a coalition of neighboring ME counties.

Started alternate oil transporting routes, which will remove Iran’s ability to affect the world economy.

Removed Irans ability to finance the weaponization of proxy groups for terrorist activities.

Showed Iran as a Paper Tiger militarily. Which also showed the world how weak the Russian and Chinese defense equipment is as it relates to the USA.

Sowed the seeds for regime change once the general population has had enough. The slaughter of civilians will come back to haunt the leaders.

The leaders are WELL aware that their power is tenuous and subject to immediate termination.

The economics of Iran in free fall. Every day that passes, only makes it worse. This fact has tempered the military strikes, that would hurt the general population.

The snap your fingers crowd will have to be patient. Trump is more concerned with the stability of the world, than mid term polls.

How exactly dont we have leverage when Iran is crumbling

Not saying this isnt getting ridiculous but to think Iran is in control is crazy

Trump as if we have any leverage here.

The stupidity of this website never ceases to amaze me. The US Navy which Trump is the Commander in Chief of is currently blockading their ports. Also it is Trump and not Iran who gets to decide when this thing is over. I would call that leverage.
