Since when do our US military troops know anything about enforcing laws? It's not like they can just go through the city and shoot every criminal. What's needed is a strong, well funded, police force backed by an administration without politics and judicial system that will put these criminals away instead of slapping them on the wrist with minimal sentences

I'm no constitutional lawyer, but doesn't a state have to request federal intervention to put troops in the streets.

That would be great. There are lots of ways the Feds can get involved and try to improve the situation but it can't be done under a PC culture or without money

The US Marshal Service is the oldest law enforcement agency in the country
Presidents used to send them into areas in the ‘wild west’ to establish Law & Order, when local efforts had failed.
