I find nothing wrong with this, but I do find it slightly hypocritical. You can't say, "hire locally" while hiring 70 immigrants in 17-18.

What is wrong with hiring legal immigrants? (there is a key word in there, see if you can spot it).

and what if the locals do not want to do the job? We hear that all the time with the left, "that is why we need immigrants for Americans who do not want to do the job", but do it the right way like this...if you do it the right way how is that being hypocritical?

The gotcha is pointing out his inconsistency, bruh. You're points are nothing that anyone logically disagrees with.
The inconsistency is that he's not "hiring locally". He needs to be precise like a President should be. "Hire locally" suggests to hire local Americans. That surely is not what's going on here. The reason is obvious, yet if hiring Americans is what he suggests then send a bus upstate and bring in the workers. I fully understand the ridiculousness in that statement.
