Sure he did. He got elected.
Just think what would have happened if he had lost.

Trump hasnt done anything to protect our guns

He has actively eroded the 2nd amendment through word and deed.

I knew about the bump stock deal. I guess one could quibble with that, perhaps, but it seems all but completely meaningless to me, and almost more of just a deal to quell the discussion of the moment it was presented as an “issue.”
I think it's a bigger deal than most. It isn't necessarily even about the bump stocks. I never had any desire to own one. It's the mentality that it perpetuates, the so-called quelling of discussion. That's a horrible idea, and that's been shown over and over again.
It's also about the way he did it. Trump should have left that to Congress. Instead, he invited the next Democrat to do worse to the Second Amendment.

Was there anything else specifically you were referencing?
His statements about background checks, red flag laws, etc are also problems.

I think with mandatory national background checks the constitutional argument is based on 2A itself. A background check isn't aimed at regulation of how people can or can't go about exercising the right, instead whether the right can be exercised at all. Other than the felon exception to the right, what else would count as an exception and who makes that decision?

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
How is a background check beforeone buys a gun a "search or seizure"?
If a background check before one buys a gun is a search or seizure, how/why is it unreasonable?

Fact: no president should have to do anything to preserve a right given by the constitution

In theory, I likely agree. In reality, I’ve yet to see anything bear out from that particular instance. I’ll join you in outrage if I do.

It's been happening for decades. This is where we get stupid shite like the GCA and the AWB.

What do you foresee extending from the bump stock ban?
Posted on 10/15/19 at 10:26 pm to Y.A. Tittle
I mean, who knows. Maybe nothing. Maybe it'll start with federal red flag laws.

Yeah, that shite’s a logistical clusterfrick of an impossibility. I’m all in with you on stopping it, but it seems all but obvious on how impossible it would be to even begin to try and implement.

Not bitch about bump stocks or red flag laws

These are blood sacrifices to the gods to stem the tide of all out war on the issue. Because who knows what happens in that case.
That won't be looked upon favorably, I already know.

Most federal laws are clusterfricks. That won't stop it from happening.

Obama reduced BATFE wait times, which is more than Trump has done thus far.
Posted on 10/15/19 at 10:39 pm to DisplacedBuckeye
I’m honestly surprised he hasn’t tried to ban pistol braces.

Yeah, the logistical inability to do it will, though. Red flag laws are a can of worms of epic proportions.

The SBA3 is a gem. I'll riot.

Its a backround search of you and your papers. Its unreasonable because you havent broken any laws.
