Where in the second amendment does it say felons don't get to own guns?

That's just part of the slippery slope folks.

Outright confiscation is only one way to erode the Second Amendment.

Sure. What’s been eroded in the past three years?

3 of mine were taken since you asked. Had to spend a lot of money to get back what was unconstitutionally taken.

Ok, I got ya. The most ideal responses perhaps haven't been offered at each turn. But those are very tricky times and circumstances. Certainly not the time to say "nope, not willing to look at anything" as people of every political persuasion are a bit emotional and only in the moment. The sense that "we're willing to look at some options" is necessary, but, yes, how to properly communicate that is paramount.

Oh,I was asking for particular examples. I wasn’t being cute or trying to be combative, just generally curious.

The fact of the matter is, any gun can kill another person if you want it to. If you ban one you have to ban them all.

This is already covered by two separate amendments. But I wouldn't mind the firm stance and executive order.

Any person without a felony can buy and own any fire arm they want including machine guns.

No.

No warrantless back ground checks. If they want to do a back ground check it must be from a judge.

No.

He doesn't need to yet. As long as he's in, nationally we are all good. Nothing he can do about state regs. That would be both your congressman and state senators.

Cars kill more people than guns, you want to ban them?

Neither was I.

Trump's rhetoric on gun control alone has weakened the Second Amendment more than any Democrat could hope for. Bump stocks, while not a direct example is something people like BamaAtl consider an absolute win. It emboldens them to push for more.

They don't want compromise, and every time we try that, we lose.

Dont disagree at all. That's a matter of fact. Unfortunately there's also the matter of politics that has to be addressed when those things happen. It's quite the tightrope to walk as the President because bottom line we need him to stick around.

What is your argument for why a law cannot require a gun purchaser to submit to a background check?

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

I knew about the bump stock deal. I guess one could quibble with that, perhaps, but it seems all but completely meaningless to me, and almost more of just a deal to quell the discussion of the moment it was presented as an “issue.” Was there anything else specifically you were referencing? (And I’m not specifically asserting you’re wrong with quibbling with it.)

I fricking hate that you're going to force me to even come close to siding with a post by texridder but a background check for a purchase doesn't violate what you posted.
