Yeah, the logistical inability to do it will, though. Red flag laws are a can of worms of epic proportions.

Just because it might be difficult to fully implement doesn't mean that it wouldn't have a huge impact.

You’re missing my point. Sure the impact would be HUGE. The deal is, nobody seems to understand it’s so huge it would unintendedly disrupt so many existing sacred cow laws. Hence the can of worms that would prevent it.

I assure you that I'm not.

You have confidence that people will think through this as you have. I don't.

"Logistics" are irrelevant.

No. There has to be a way to “do” that shite without disrupting lots of other sacred cows (medical privacy, HIPPA, etc.). There really isn’t.

I don't agree. We're talking about politics. They can chip away at the Second Amendment and don't have to "do" a damn thing.

It's amusing to see the downvotes in this thread. These "conservatives" care more about their loyalty to Trump than they do the Second Amendment.

All these down votes and no examples of how trump has helped gun rights.

SoulGlo said it a page back....Trump has sent the opposition away with some read meat to take back to their lair and their people. That's a controlled approach.

As opposed to saying "Come and get it!!" Which is not a controlled situation and you don't know how that will end. In other words, Trump's been able to quell the growing pitchfork wielding crowds at the gates screaming for more than red flag laws and bump stock ban.

It's the pragmatic view and understandably some will take a dim view of it.

Make suppressors a non-stamp item. It is ridiculous that it is easier to get a suppressor in England, which has much stricter gun control than here, than it is in the US.

It's an ignorant approach, and a losing one. It shows that Trump either has no awareness of the history behind current gun control measures or, worse, he actively supports them.

There's a large gap between your idea of a "controlled" approach and saying "Come and get it!!"

This needs to happen. We need someone who is actually a Second Amendment supporter. You want bump stocks and pistol braces? Sure, but first we get rid of the trash NFA. And that's just for starters.

The only thing Obama did was increase gun and ammunition sales, and concealed carry permit requests with his empty gun control promises that he made to get elected. As for helping 2A rights, he did nothing.

There's an amendment that says our guns are protected. You think Trump can "trump" that?

NFA is unconstitutional. Needs to be repealed.
