The "Deep State" is the entrenched and formerly impossible-to-fire, partisan Democrat/Progressive/RINO Bureaucrats who stayed in place regardless of which Administration was elected. Obama added tons of Dems in those positions. And they essentially established and implemented policy, by either green lighting (Progressive) policy and/or stalling Conservative policy in the bureaucratic red tape abyss.
You well know this, SF. But you are doing your job. Pretty efficiently. Albeit your 'client' is guilty; and that is why a lot of people hate Lawyers. At least until they need a good one.
