How much less would he get if the same election were held in that state tomorrow?

1. Depends upon his opponent
2. Probably less than 62%

you are stupid.

What is the correlation you are looking for?

You realize that the reason Moore lost is not because Alabama hates Trump, or republicans.....

but simply because the candidate was shite, and the Dems used BILLIONS of dollars to exploit this.

If it's against almost anyone but Hilary, it would be somewhat close, but he'd probably still win.

Provide one example of this "anyone but Hilary" who'd make it close there.

Trump? No less

Jones got ~49% of the vote in Alabama yesterday. If he was running against anyone other than an accused pedophile how much less does he get?

A lot less

last week I think it was you, we were talking about the democrats needing to run a white male in 2020 if they want to win...I wonder if the dems think that had any relevance here in pulling voters away from moore

Moore lost in Alabama yesterday because he was the political equivalent to Hillary Clinton. He was a toxic candidate who no one really cared for but who Alabamians would vote for because of the 'R' next to his name. But then came the accusations of pedophilia and sexual harassment. Due to these accusations, Republicans stayed home while Democrats experienced a record turn out. As a result, Doug Jones won in a VERY close race.

In 2020, that seat will go back red once a legitimate candidate for the seat emerges.

Alabama has turned their backs on Our President and on America.

If it's against Hillary, I think the results are about the same, maybe a tad closer.

If you swap Hillary with Doug Jones, I think it's a much closer race.

OP seemed to be asking what we think. I think that presidents these days don't tend to get more popular as their presidencies age. I think Trump's presidency to date has largely been regarded as subpar--across the board among adults. I think as of the most recent polling, he was sitting at about 50% approval in the state of Alabama.

I think he'd comfortably win against a generic democrat (not the OP's question apparently, though) but it'd would likely be by a lower margin. A lot of people who voted for Trump did so on faith that he'd "become presidential."

He's gotten worse.

It's not the "this is a response to Trump's actions" result that the media seems to be hanging onto. It's Alabama's response to have its choice similar to what the 2016 election was. Maybe not so much voting FOR someone as it was voting AGAINST someone.

The problem is, the dems have to run someone SPECIFIC against him.
