Details of the deal are starting to come out and it looks like cars being made in Mexico factories can avoid US tarrifs if they pay their employees 15+/hour.

Liberal heads are about to explode.

Trump helping the Mexicans that the libs say he hates. Hopefully he specified it has to be 15+/hour in US Dollars, not 15 pesos.

Brilliant tactic, as now the American low skilled workers will flock to Mexico for those high paying jobs...I give it a year until Mexico starts building their own wall.

Umm...how does $15 per hour in Mexico even out when car makers here have to still pay 3x that to American workers in wages and benefits?

Sources familiar with the negotiations said it would create incentives for car companies to pay wages far higher than the current average salary in Mexico, which, according to some estimates, is about US$2.04 per hour.

Going from $2.04/hr to $15/hr is a huge increase. While still cheaper then US salaries, this will make the cost of moving plants less attractive.
