Fauci was a Deep State Agent put in place 30 years ago that conducted his missions secretly until the perfect combination of factors brought him into the sunlight. Kinda like a medical version of Strozk and the other FBI agents we now are aware of. Another Soviet Style sleeper operative in place and in plain sight all our lives. Which is why the congressional hearings are important, ID the agent so they are exposed (all we can do is assign jerseys to the teams now though).

My question is: how are we supposed to rationalize this to others?

Fauci is science, right?

Follow the science, right?

What's the problem?

this has been brought up many times, so many that it’s getting so redundant
That's why we have an alter asking the OP question.

After the catastrophic test kit failure of the CDC (?deliberate?) left us wide-open to Covid in Feb-March 2020, the CDC ruled itself out as a reliable pandemic resource.

The only other rational alternative was the NIH (i.e., Fauci). At that stage, as you said, Trump was left with no options. With the CDC sidelined out of overt incompetence, was Trump going to fire Fauci too? It was politically untenable.

Lol. The large majority of the party disagrees with you.

Get on board, or vote for grooming dickbags.

Its that simple.

How did he do the three years prior to the unprecedented pandemic?

You don't.

He fricked up. He didn't follow his gut (no lockdowns, let it burn through [a la Sweden]).

You don't rationalize it. You either punish him for it, or vote for him hoping he learned his lesson.

This is almost exactly what Biden supporters say. You have no rationalization for this, nor any arguments, so you just basically are saying that you agree with me, that it’s hopeless, and that we should just vote from Trump because.

No. Im saying the primary race is over. Trump will be the nominee.

Sorry this upsets you, but its reality.

Now if you are actually not a groomer, you should rally around the one poised to run against them....but you wont. Instead you'll keep smashing on the person that has all but locked up the nomination because your feelings are hurt it wasnt your guy.

Im sure the left appreciates you people helping spread propoganda against their opponent in 2024.

The groomers everywhere appreciate your effort.

then why did he agree to shut the country down?

Trump had zero power to do this. I acknowledge he supported it and I disagreed with him. But your beef is with governors.

Trump had a chance to come up big, but he didn’t. In the beginning of the pandemic, there was significant numbers of epidemiologists who believed we should not lock down. Britain and Sweden chose not to lock down.

Trump got hoodwinked into lockdowns - probably because Democrats opposed them. I know that’s shocking, but it’s true - when Trump started to lockdown Pelosi and the Dems ridiculed him.

Then the chief epidemiologist in Britain - the one who later violated his own rules and travelled across town to commit adultery - scared the PM into locking down by lying to him about how dangerous the virus was.

Sweden alone had the backbone to resist the disinformation, and they ended up with the lowest number of excess deaths in all of Europe.

Trump had the chance to follow Sweden’s lead, but he didn’t. I don’t condemn him for this, but he certainly did not do great.

So basically it seems everyone is in agreement that he either got played and/or was pressured into cowering. I’m not sure running a guy who got tricked and/or is weak is the guy in 2024. This also doesn’t really explain why he gave Fauci a medal when he didn’t have to.

I mean, maybe. It seems very likely he will win the nomination, but even more likely he will get destroyed by Biden if so. Maybe it’s time to consider changing course before the primaries start? Do we really want democrats to sweep the presidency and congress, then use that power to pack the SC, and add senate seats to create a permanent majority? Because they also seems like the most likely scenario if this aging fossil who got tricked is trotted out there again.

Personally I like the “he didn’t have a choice other than to print $7,4000,000,000,000 and throw it at people” excuse.

The general will be Trump vs groomer.
Is that a hard choice or easy one?

If you play the long game, it may be a hard choice, considering you can also choose not to play-

This also. I have no idea why he is getting a pass. Presidents face crises all the time. When the lights were on, Trump failed spectacularly. Why are we supposed to forgive this?

Mike Pence was put in charge of that initiative, and we all see what a total POS he is. Sounds like he knew then what the globalists wanted, and pushed Fauci and Birx out front and center to accomplish the uniparty goals

That makes things sounds even worse for Trump.

The only way Biden "destroys" anyone in an election is if the system is rigged again. That would, in part, require something akin to the pandemic.

Why the alter, alter?

Knowing what we know now, I see no way to call what Trump championed - pushing a non-vaccine as a vaccine through the system sans testing, and calling on EVERYONE to get it regardless of their personal risk assessment - a success. It was the biggest failing of the federal government in my lifetime, outside of the 40 year debasement of our currency.

Trump is Biden’s dream matchup for 2024. You’re getting played worse than Trump got played in 2020. He fires up the democrats to vote, moderates despise him, and republicans overall aren’t enthusiastic to vote for him. He’s also a really old guy just like Biden, so it takes the strongest talking point away.
