I’m beginning to believe the Dims want a new precedent and a lower bar for impeachment because they feel it will typically benefit the Dims in the future. Really dumb!
The Coup Clutz Clan just keeps on grasping for anything that they can find in order to keep from drowning in their own stinking swamp.

You've done a great job of keeping this thread current. If I have a question about the impeachment proceedings, I always come to this thread first.

Thanks, KCT, appreciate that. I've been lucky it's slow at work and happy to have the ability to try and keep people as updated/informed as possible in the OP.
Your average American might be mostly clueless about politics, but I know people on this board try to stay informed and well-read on current events, so glad I can help do that on this very important week in the Trump presidency.

Is it questions and debate today or just a Q and A session?
Could a Senator ask why they didn’t use Whistleblower as witness? Then ask if House Rules demand you do x why did you deviate from rules? Or is that considered 2 questions?

Q & A... no debate. Although I'm still unsure how the questions will be vetted... likely vote by the full Senate. But we'll find out in a couple hours.

Thanks for all the updates!
I hate missing the questions more than anything. I have recorded and fortunately get home earlier than most. It's going to be so interesting!

Anyone able to just post a running list of the questions and to whom they were directed?

I'll keep the OP updated with questions and answers as best as I possibly can... I'll also have a video link up for CSPAN soon and I'll make sure I find some kind of live blog that will have transcripts of the exact Q & A.

Awesome. Answers are cool, I'm just curious to see the questions.

Miss Lindsey bailed on her press conference, so let's get ready for the main event.

Statement from U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today made this statement.
“It is my opinion, based on the law and facts, that additional testimony is unnecessary in this case.
“For the sake of argument, one could assume everything attributable to John Bolton is accurate and still the House case would fall well below the standards to remove a president from office.
“It is clear to me that there is ample evidence for the President to be concerned about conflicts of interest on behalf of Hunter Biden and that Vice President Joe Biden’s failure to take appropriate action was unacceptable. This combination, in my view, undercut America’s message on reforming corruption in Ukraine. There is a mountain of evidence to suggest the Bidens’ behavior was harmful to the United States.
“The House managers’ claim that the sole reason President Trump temporarily paused the aid was purely personal and political, not public, does not withstand scrutiny.
“However, I am concerned when John Bolton’s credibility is attacked, it makes it more likely some will feel the need to call him as a witness.
“In that event, it would be important for the President and his team to call witnesses on other issues.”

When's this a holes presser?
Posted on 1/29/20 at 12:01 pm to hogcard1964
Presser was cancelled, he issued the statement above instead.

Ok, so he said this:
“It is my opinion, based on the law and facts, that additional testimony is unnecessary in this case."
What does this mean now? More nothingness?
