That would be incredibly stupid to do in the Senate. The democrats already look like sacks of shite for what they've done. Trump's team doesn't need to go down the same path.

You may find this stuff boring, but Starr is laying out one hell of a historical case why this impeachment is unprecedented in our nation's history.

He is going way off the level of thinking of regular Joe. He is brilliant but no one wants to be preached at from gramps Professor.

I hope Dersh is next. Or maybe Ms. Bondi...

Someone use a long stick and get him off stage.

Watch him get through to Collins tho.

Yeah, this isn't the time for an historical dissertation on impeachment......we need to pound nails into the Shampeachment coffin and Kenny baw can give the eulogy with a closing statement.

Like the attorney used in the Kavanaugh hearings, Starr has an audience of 3 to 4.

Not exactly what I meant by "flame throwers"...I mean we need a Jim Jordan type and we need some of this crap about the Bidens and the chicanery involved with this whole process. We need to hold the Senate audience of course but holding a viewing/voting audience is important here too. This bs sham needs to be detonated with facts that need to come out and presented by someone who can "preach" the word so to say.

This has a place but not lead off in my opinion...you got to get the runner on base first.

The point is the impeachment they are doing is not constitutional; while the dems cloak themselves in the Constitution.

Dersh says it better.

That would also be incredibly stupid. This is the Senate, not House.

House = Historically screeching monkeys
Senate = the adults in the room. Well, until the Kavanaugh hearings when the dems decided to be screeching monkeys.

Not sure you're correct here. This is an opportunity to make a case to defend the POTUS who's been under attack for 3 years. This phase of the defense should be hard hitting pushback against Schitty's 24 hours of lies and half truths using Schitty's own words to destroy the Dim prosecutors case. Today is probably the biggest audience the R's are going to get and Starr's constitutional brilliance isn't gonna impress the viewers/voters.....we need great legal theater based in truth today.....scorched earth!

This is exactly what's happening. Like Starr just said, this is a war of ideas.

Did you also not watch Saturday? There were a solid three hours of exactly that.

This has nothing to do with viewers and voters. This is about the Senators and deciding exactly how this country will go forward with Impeachment.

We have no say in it outside voting for our Congressmen.

I did but we don't hane the audience for that as we would have today. They did great on Saturday but it was short because it was kind of a throw away day, the heavy hitters needed to come out first today in my opinion.

Jim Jordan is perfectly suited for the Senate. There's no way he acts a fool on the Senate floor and acts like a "screeching monkey"...those all suit up for the Dems. What JJ or Ratcliffe, etc...are is effective. They get their point across effectively and hold attention spans...sorely needed at this point.
