If you want to lead in artificial intelligence the government needs to get out of the way.
Otherwise they are just going to block innovation so that the AI companies who donate to the people in charge get to dictate policies that hamstring their competition in the name of “safety”

I don’t comment on everything Trump does, but this strikes me as a pretty damn good idea, particularly at this stage in history. If anything it could have been done a little sooner (for the criticism first crowd).
