Maybe Trumps smarter than I thought, he seems to keep these guys occupied and supportive even though he's helped bankrupt the country once.
Say whatever else you want to say about the man, but he is a gifted snake oil salesman.

He has made a fortune by slapping a thin coat of gold gilt onto a $10 item and convincing people to buy it for $1,000.

Before the 2016 election I called him the Rorschach candidate, and its fitting. He says off the cuff stuff, and an army of influencers run to make sense of it.

Thats how 4D chess became such a big talking point.

Well if he was too unconscious to stand trial, why should we believe he was conscious enough to know that someone was signing for him?

I really hope he is going after 2020. I have not seen anything on it.

He's brought it up at least twice since Friday. He's not letting this one go.

If it doesn’t go forward because:

quote:

No court is going to entertain this.

Then the disappointment won’t be with Trump but with an over reaching judiciary highlighting the importance of who controls the senate. It’s a move to get a larger majority in the midterms.

Also, just being able to dig into the cases during an investigation as to who ordered and who carried out the illegal deletion and destruction of records relating to the impeachments is a huge win.

quote:

Trump needs to tread carefully with some of these promises. It’s going to breed disappointment when it doesn’t get fulfilled

Oh and thanks to dumb fricks like you, we have the patriot act.
I opposed the Patriot Act on "limited government" grounds. Many of my fellow Republican voters called me an al-Qaeda lover for it.

The Authoritarian script never changes. "Muh Patriotism" overrides the actual Constitution for them, every time.

Of course the courts will rule that the auto pen is valid but in the meantime making them fight will be fun.

The autopen is valid if Biden was intending to sign the pardons. If Biden did not know of the pardons and his staff just used the autopen to sign them then they are not valid. Biden is going to have to testify to defend the pardons and that will be interesting.

I get this, but there is a mechanism in the Constitution to declare a President unfit, and it wasn't invoked in any way.

There's nothing I am aware of to declare him unfit after the fact years later.

I'm sure you're right. After all, you sound much more knowledgeable on all of the aspects of this story than anyone else in the thread.

You might want to consider calling the operator at the White House and ask to speak to the president on this matter. Clearly you caught something that he and his team missed.

Even though nothing will come of it, making their collective buttholes pucker with anxiety is worth it.

Here is the problem. It isn't even producing any "puckering."

The response is a collective sigh of "what a minor nuisance."

Most of whats being done right now is a distraction.

We just pushed through another CR. These periphery issues are simply to distract.
