You need to ban yourself, troll.

How can anyone defend whoever leaked this?
Indefensible. Bloomberg should have had better practices in ensuring that the off the record part of the recording couldn't be accessed by anyone else.
Do you think Trump expected "off the record" comments to Bloomerg to remain confidential?

Weird story for a couple of reasons:
First, this just confirms President Trump’s assertion that the media is the enemy of the people. They are actively working against our country's interests.
Second, I have read the comments a few times and do not see how this is even surprising. Wouldn’t you have guessed those were his thoughts without even reading them? And, it just seems like he is trying to make the best deal for the American people.

If he expected it to be reported then he had some end in mind. Maybe to force Trudeau to dig in his heels thinking a looming trade war collapses Trudeau's coalition? Maybe something else but I feel sure he wasn't blindsided by Bloomberg's lack of ethics.

When you trash media for using anonymous sources, then you're outed as an anonymous source, LOL
BTW this happened to Kellyanne a few weeks ago too. Just re-inforces that the media doesn't just make quotes up like this admin would have you think.

We don't know this to be true.
no, we don't
but let me ask you, what do you think they thought would happen?
you think they believed that the Star would not publish?

Like Lanny Davis and CNN. You also started a thread about that. It was another fail.
You should stop posting cause you have as much credibility as Bernstein

Off the record comments during the course of an on the record interview are nothing like anonymous sources.

Well, except for when they get caught. Those are the only times they do it.

This literally never happens, that the OTR portions of these interviews leaks. Most people close to White House have raised possibility that Trump ordered it put out.

I feel like this is an orchestrated leak made to both clearly tell Canada where the US stands AND continue to discredit the media.
By now (if not LONG before) Trump is very media savvy. Bloomberg (while maybe not the worst) is certainly no friend of Trump's. I would be surprised if he didn't do this "off the record" interview with the full expectation of a leak.
In the end though, what leverage does Canada have over the US? Hell, they can't even win in the freaking national sport they created, Ice Hockey. 25 years and counting.

I'll say it again. The President (as well as any source) deserves the to have their off the record comment agreement respected. Full stop.
