There is no "deal." Trump is simply suspending the sanctions that he previously supported. Putin isn't making any concessions...on price for instance.
Trump is suspending sanctions in hopes that it will reduce diesel costs...and, maybe, to facilitate insider trading.
I was sloppy in saying that Putin can sell all the oil (generally) that he wanted. He can only sell all the diesel that he wants to.

It's tedious to "argue" with the two of you. There wasn't a "deal." It was simply a unilateral action on our part.
I don't know all of the reasons that President Trump reversed his positions. That wasn't why I started the thread. Sure, the "noble" motivation was reduction of diesel prices. I wouldn't rule out massive insider trading.
