Who has the liquid capital to put up a $300m+ bond anyway, Scrooge McDuck?

If Trump needed it, Elon would bring it across.

This is still in negotiation stage to see if they will take it.

They're apparently going to let him get a bond, so not really, but you do you.

exorbitant and punitive amount of the judgment coupled with an unlawful and unconstitutional blanket prohibition on lending transactions would make it impossible to secure and post a complete bond."

Wait, so he not only has to put up 455 million cash, he isn’t allowed to borrow that cash against his assets either? So instead of getting a loan using property as collateral (which he could easily repay when the ruling is overturned or at worst pay it back over time)he has to either produce liquid cash or sell assets? That’s complete horseshite

This should be beyond party politics. This is all seriously concerning to any true American. The judge should be disbarred and honestly I’d have no issue with imprisonment to set an example for those who want to abuse our justice system

Well get a piece of wood between your teeth. Here comes the voltage. You are still looking at this like it was a legitimately unbiased trial.

Funny how some of us can take one look at the defendant and predict with 100% certainty the outcome isn’t it? Wonder why that is?

It’s a damn shame that they take your money just for committing fraud.

The bank themselves said it wasn’t fraudulent and the judge said they weren’t “credible”

They were no victims so you can’t pay damages. People are claiming it’s a “fine” but the penalty for loan application fraud is up to 30 years prison or up to 1,000,000 dollar fine. But this isn’t a criminal trial it’s a civil trial.

A civil trial brought by a DA, not the bank or any other potential fraud victims. There are no victims, so who gets the money? The entire thing is asinine

Youre thinking like a rational person, not a radical leftist. The entire purpose of this case is to persecute Trump. I doubt it gets accepted.

Who did he defraud? The banks that testified he didn't defraud them?
